The report is prepared for the preparation of the wireless network solution for the Advanced
Digital computer company. The WLAN has a recent growth of the computing industry and the
application of the wireless network helps in reducing the cabling cost and the complexity of the
network. For the development of the network the guidelines of the cross merchants should be
followed and an estimation should be made for the network device required for the development
of the WLAN network solution. The security of the wireless access point installed in different
location of the network should be analyzed for securing the access off the wireless access point
deployed in the network. The current challenges faced by the organization should be mitigated
and the network design is made flexible such that it can accommodate the growth of the
organization. The device interfaced for each of the device used for connecting the different
branches of the organization should be configured with the dual stack address i.e IPv4 and IPv6
such that it can communicate with the network configured with the IPv6 address scheme.

Introduction
The report is prepared for Advanced Digital Company that have a city head office, 3
branch office and 2 home office. The network is designed for supporting the retail business of
the organization and the currently it have a WAN connection between the sites and the city head
office. Internet access is also available for each of the branch office and the branches access the
internet via their city head office. A network solution is proposed for supporting the 100 %
expansion of the current business and the network framework is restructured for the
accommodation of the growth. For the development of the network solution an IP addressing
plan is created for each of the branches and the network is subnetted according to the
requirement of the company such that it can meet the future needs for a tenure of minimum 5
years. A detailed network plan is designed and documented for the preparation of the report.
Network Media
It is recommended that the local area network should have a connectivity of 100 mbps for
each of the branches connected with the city head office. The selection of the 100 Mbps Fast
Ethernet can help in increasing the data transfer rate for transferring the data packets from the
client server to users (Simmons 2014). An Ethernet LAN is exactly provisioned to meet
information exchange speed essentials with better segments that incorporate NICs, links and also
internetworking devices that can meet the most stringent requests for accessing the network.
WLAN 802.11 standard is used for the securing the wireless connectivity and provide the same
operating speed as the Ethernet connection (Vo et al. 2015). The access point should be secured
with the application of encryption algorithm such that the unauthorized users does not have the
access of the wireless network.

Ethernet speed of 10 Mbps will be used at the entrance layer to give better access to
customers. Additionally, 100-Mbps Fast Ethernet can be used for high-information
exchange speed to customers or servers.
Gigabit Ethernet can be used as the association between the entrance layer and also

For getting the best performance from the network the bottleneck situation should be
avoided and a constant bandwidth should be allocated for the transmission of the data
