TOPIC 13: Knowledge Management
Knowledge Management can be defined as the procedure which is widely followed in
each of the commercial organizations all over the world where employers creates and shares
knowledge among themselves. It is one of the most significant business strategy which helps
in enhancing the engagement of the employees, organizational learning is one of the prime
contribution of knowledge management. Explicit knowledge is one of the prime contributions
of Knowledge Management. Groupware and workflow systems are the prime knowledge
management technologies which are commonly deployed in the commercial business
organizations1. The efficiency and productivity of each of the stakeholders of the business
can be enhanced in the first place using Knowledge Management procedure. The
organizational leaders can be hugely affected due to the practise of this concept. The role of a
knowledge manager is very much significant regarding the spreading of the knowledge, both
internal entities as well as the external entities of the business can be significantly affected
after the knowledge transfer.
Knowledge management is one of the most significant aspect of the knowledge
management system, it is very much helpful to improve the collaboration of each of the
employee of business organization. New knowledge areas can be located using the
knowledge management as well, at the same time this process can be very much useful
regarding the decision making of commercial organizations2. There are different tools of
knowledge management which are widely deployed in commercial establishments such as the
learning management system and customer relationship system.

TOPIC 27: Outsourcing
Outsourcing can be defined as the business practise which are increasingly practised
across various organizations. In this particular business practise, a group of outsider is hired
from outside the organization in order to perform the same activities which is performed by
the existing employees. There are different categories of advantages and limitations
associated with outsourcing policies which are adopted by business organizations. The
reduction in the labour cost is one of the most significant contribution of the outsourcing
strategies adopted by business organizations3. The efficiency as well as the productivity of
the employees of the organizations can be enhanced using the outsourcing strategy.
Competitiveness among different organizations can be enhance as a result of maintaining
outsourcing strategies as well. The operational cost of the business can also be reduced in the
first place if an outsourcing strategy is adopted in a commercial establishment. One the other
hand, it can be said that there are few limitations associated with outsourcing in terms of the
signing of contracts of the distant stakeholders of the business4. Labour cost of each countries
are very different from each other, hence the selection of the wages can be a huge source of
concern regarding the outsourcing strategies adopted in this business. Data security threats
such as ransomware is the other disadvantage associated with the outsourcing strategy.
Communication issues are very much common in most of the outsourcing strategies. There
are different categories of outsourcing models which are generally used in commercial
organizations in terms of the staff augmentation, and project based strategy.
