Introduction
In this assignment is based on routing protocols mainly BGP (Border Gateway Protocol). The
assignment requires to configure and troubleshoot BGP routing protocol in order to exchange
routing information with 2 ISPs (Internet Service Providers). A scenario has been given,
according to which the network has to designed and configured on 3 routers. In this task, external
BGP has to be configured on the border router so that the ISPs information can travel through
border router. The scenario is such that an International Travel Agency uses the internet for
sales. ITA has contracted 2 ISPs to provide internet services, connectivity and fault tolerance

Scenario
Figure 1: Project scenario
The scenario is such that an International Travel Agency uses internet for sales. ITA has
contracted 2 ISPs to provide internet services, connectivity and fault tolerance. The routers are in
separate Autonomous Systems with router 1 being in AS 100, router 2 in AS 200, and router 3 in
AS 300. Since these routers are in separate AS, external BGP shall be configured on the network
(Welsh, 2013).

The * next to each route indicates the valid route and BGP will be able to use that route.
The “>” symbols next to each route indicate that the * route has been selected as the best BGP
route/path (Wang, 2010).
The local router ID is 192.168.1.1
BGP table version 3 is displayed.
