topic to find the factors that produce a review. Therefore, it will help to make a safe
environment for the children as well as the staffs. Another aim of this study is to find out the
boundaries that can be established without developing a breach of trust. Therefore, the study
will not be a biased review, rather this can be a debateable research paper as it will try to

Installing cameras can have many pros and cons in the service sector. Here, the study will be
discussing the benefits and drawbacks of placing cameras in a brief paragraph. The
discussion will consist of the factors relate to the students as well as the teachers who are
related with the camera installation program. Hence, this essay intends to research and
critically examine the advantage sand disadvantages of cameras in childcare services, to
distinguish the factors between security and privacy concerns of the both sides.

The aim of this research paper is to find the pros and cons of installing cameras in day
care services. Therefore, the study will discuss of the factors related to safety, security and
privacy to balance all of the relative aspects of both the students as well as of the teachers.
Cameras have many beneficial factors in an institution related to observe the kids,
their safety and wellness. Nowadays, cameras connected with internet helps to let the parents
watch their kids from anywhere. Installing cameras can make a change in the surveillance
systems of an institution. Cameras help to encourage an engaging relation of trust and safety
between a day care service provider and the parents (Mateo Díaz & Rodríguez Chamussy,
2015). Many incidents happen in childcare services, where the children are injured, had bite
marks on their body parts and even physical abuses; in that cases the recorded video footage

can help in investigation processes (Sisson et al., 2017). The following rules and regulations
can help the child in getting judgement on the basis of evidence related to the video footages.
Alongside all these pros, some cons need a severe note of whether installing cameras
can be a solution or not. The respective cons are like, recording video footages of the
common rooms of an institution affects the teacher’s privacy concerns, and most teachers
consider the system as an invasion in their way of teaching. Teachers mostly acknowledge
the fact that most of the teaching part is not about teaching, there are some discussion
happens that let them enhance the quality of their teaching methods (Raissian, 2015). Many
incidents happen, where the parent judge the ways of teaching and that affects the
performance of the teachers. Installing cameras are not the only solution, the internet security
measures need to be upgraded to protect the footages from hackers or even leakage of video
files of abuses (Levi et al., 2015). This is one of the major drawbacks of surveillance system.
This research is related to the use of cameras in day care facilities. Nowadays, many
incidents related to child abuse are happening, and that has a serious connection with rising
unemployment in the society (Raissian, 2015). Therefore, to solve problems in childcare
services, one of the most effective solution is installation of cameras (Permatasari &
Masruroh, 2016). This study will point out the factors and safety measures that can be
effective for the side of a childcare institution. According to reports, boys and girls are
equally likely to be harassed in a daycare facilities (Girardet et al., 2016). National Child
Abuse and Neglect Data System has declared an information, that states more than 3.5
million reports received in 2013 which specifically mentioned child abuse cases due to
neglect, physical abuse, mental abuse, sexual abuse and medical neglect as well (Zeanah &
Humphreys, 2018). More than 3000 children are abused daily in the United States as per the
reports filed in the year 2015. The daycare centres are likely to be reported as one of the

easiest access of the abusers, a data of 2006 stated that over 5321 daycare centres were found
abusing kids and carrying out heinous acts.
Therefore, in order to solve the problems, this study will go forward with the most
important factor, to establish trust in between the teachers and the students as well as their
parents to maintain a healthy relationship. Making several engagement programs and meeting
to make a teacher – parent bonding can raise the amount of trust in between them. Installing
cameras can be effective in observing the children but can raise the barrier in between them
as well (Mateo Díaz & Rodríguez Chamussy, 2015). Therefore, the issue of installation of
cameras can cause a debate. However, the main concern here is to make them unite while
decreasing the barriers in between them. Hence, installation of cameras can be done to classes
while leaving some place for teachers for their private works. That can help in making
progress in the security concerns while maintaining privacy as well.
This research is debateable as it concerns all the factors related to the security of the
students as well as the privacy of the teachers. That can result in creating barriers in between
the teachers and students as well as their parents. This research paper can affect the relation
in between students and teachers as well as make them close. The focus is to ensure everyone
feels safe in the institution, be it a student or a teacher.
Conclusion
The aim of this research paper was to measure all the advantages and disadvantages of
the installation of camera in daycare facilities. The study found that camera provides safety
for all the people inside the childcare service not just the children as well as the teachers and
staffs are provided with 24/7 surveillance. Therefore, with advantages came drawbacks as
well. The cameras and the surveillance systems still have some cons which restricts the users
not to get used to it. The balance in between security and privacy were the main thing that

opposed each other, which can be sorted out with making negotiations in between the service
providers and the parents. Lastly, the research paper regarding the use of cameras to decrease
child abuses in daycare facilities backed up with information which helps to state the
necessity to upgrade the security systems of daycare facilities in United States of America.
