INTRODUCTION
Study skills in the higher education helps better career growth and gain of competitive
advantages in the student life (Cottrell, 2019). Development of study skills and learning strategy
helps individuals to gain high motivation that helps in better growth of personal and professional
career of the person. Good study skills increase the confidence level of the person and also it
helps to enhance self esteem. E- learning plays important role in in variety of success of students
life. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic students face various issues in their learning process and e-
learning helps them to gain effective knowledge and information at home. However, there are
various advantages and disadvantages of e learning that could have impact on the career growth
and success of student. In this report various advantages and disadvantages of e-learning is
explained.

Analyse advantages of e-learning:
The global pandemic situation there are various issues that students face due to lack of
facility or lock down situation. However, e-learning play vital role in the education and growth
of the students during the pandemic situation (Heron, 2019). This situation in over all world
introduce some new ways of learning through the online platforms. Many educational institution
initiate e-learning so that students can use this platforms for the better growth and fulfilment of
objectives. Many schools in India also start e-learning process in their institutions. Below are
various advantages of e-learning explained.
Increased access and reach: In the situation of COVID 19 e-learning provide easy
access to the student to learn at their home safely. E-learning increase access because it can be
use by any one at any place that helps the students to gain effective growth in the market and
increase the level of proficiency in educational career. E-learning needs device and connectivity
of the internet and with both students can learn in most effective manner. It reduce the time
waste of the students because of pandemic situation.
Efficiency: E-learning helps the educational institution to provide effective lesson to the
students so that is can helps them in better growth and effective learning. E-learning lecture can
be recorded by the individual so that it can helps them to learn after the classes. E-learning can
help large number of the students to learn in most effective manner and increase their efficiency.

E-learning helps the students who are at their home town and can not afford to come for classes
at the school due to the COVID 19 pandemic situation. Providing those students effective
learning can helps in better growth and sustainability in the market. Efficiency in the learning
process is more beneficial for the students.
Affordability: E-learning is more affordable for the students as compare to physical
learning. It helps students to minimise two types of the cost first is real estate and second is
transportation cost(Khlaisang, and Songkram, 2019). It is more affordable because all the study
martial are available in the online platform. Affordability in the e-learning make it more effective
for the students how is staying at home. It also helps the teacher to provide effective outcome in
the future and increase the growth of their students by the e-learning process. It enhance the
confidence level of the students and increase their efficiency in the business.
Encourage shy kids: Many kids how seen shy in the class room are seen to be more
representative in the class rooms(Pradubthong, Petsangsri, and Pimdee, 2018). Students start to
ask question in the online class rooms. It also helps them to increase the level of confidence and
motivation to learn in most effective manner. It gives platform to the students who was not able
to get attention in the offline classes due to the shy nature. It enhance the level of growth
students want in their educational career and increase efficiency in their future growth.
Thus, from the above discussion it can be understand that e-learning is an effective tool
that helps the students in the better growth and achievement of the goals and objectives in the
professional life. It also help students and teacher to deal with pandemic crises in order to sustain
the level of learning in the institution.
Discuss the disadvantages of e-learning:
E-learning effectively helps the students in their growth and success, however, there are
various disadvantages of the e-learning that make impact on the learning process of the
company(Sera, and McPherson, 2019). There are various challenges that student and teachers
face during the online classes. Below are various challenges faced by the students and teachers
while doing online classes.
Lack of social interaction: Due to the online learning classes students feel that they are
having problems during the online classes due to the less social interaction between teachers and
students. It also has impact on the effectiveness of their learning capacity due to the issues in the
online learning. Many students feel bored during the classes because of less interaction with

batch mates and other students. Offline classes support students to have discussion with other
students about ideas and information. In order to gain better knowledge and insight about the
various topics. Lack of social interaction could affect the confidence level of the students in the
classes. Also there are various aspects of the teacher that they can not explain to the students in
the online classes.
Not appropriate for all: Every student in the organisation has their own learning process
and for many students e-learning is not suitable because of their own issues or network issues in
their areas(Virtanen, and Tynjälä 2019). Many students in e-learning classes are not able to
understand about the topic and module without the guidance of the teachers. Sometimes teachers
also face problems to explain the topic s to the students in the practical classes and this could
affect the future growth of the students and their learning process. Some teacher are not aware
about the latest technology and face challenges during the online classes due to the lack of
understanding about the various topics. It impact the ability of the teachers to make effective
outcomes from the classes and increase the level of effectiveness in their students learning
process.
Focus deficit: Some students in online classes loss their focus because of lack of
concentration powers. In the e-learning students feel boredom due to the lack of social
interaction with the friends and teachers. It also effect their learning process in the classes and
decrease the level of understanding about the topic teach by the teachers. Virtual classes impact
the studies of the students and they loss their concentration in the classes. Also some students
does not attend classes properly because of distraction at home or other places where they are
studying. It impact the future growth of the students and also affect their learning process in the
personal and professional life. Due to the lack of practical knowledge is could be difficult for the
students to have impact on the learning and effectiveness.
Technological issues: Many students face issues in the online learning because of
technological issues in the systems. Many students face poor connection in their areas and this
impact the growth and learning process(Wilson 2018). Also sometimes students face issues in
the device they are using for the online learning classes and it take lots of efforts to make the
changes in the devices. Some students are not aware about the technological changes in the
systems they are using and it increase difficulties in the use of those devices. Many students face
lack of data connectivity that cause barrier in the learning process. Further, it the student in

learning classes is technophobic, it may cause lack of understand and study in the online classes.
Technological issues can impact the future growth of the students also this impact their skills and
abilities to work in the competitive environment.
Thus, from the above discussion it can be understand that there are various challenges
that faced by the students and the teachers in order to gain effective growth in the career. These
challenges can impact the future growth of the students and also impact on their knowledge
process in the market. These disadvantages of the e-learning can impact the future growth of the
students and also impact their knowledge and confidence level of the students in the classes.
