Good Morning ladies and gentlemen,
The topic of the debate is that “traditional classes should not be replaced by the online
classes.” I would like to introduce you with the new concept of online classes that has moved
in the culture today. It allows us to study and learn our courses without affecting the comfort
of our spaces.
Today, I will be presenting with the points that stand against the culture of online classes,
supporting the traditional ones.
Online classes have gained so much importance in the near past. But, in my opinion, studying
with the computers and mobile phones can encounter us with various other distractions. With
no face to face interaction of students and the teacher, the students tend to underestimate the
lessons taught by the teacher. Online education creates a monologue and does not really
allow us to involve in a real dialogue between the teacher and the student. A learning
environment needs to have discussions and an interpersonal relationship so as to build an
effective classroom (Barrett, 2011). Online courses have increased the amount of work as
compared to the traditional ones. Hence, the students have to work harder to prove that they
have mastered in the program. Adding to the hard work, online classes require an intense
self-discipline and self-direction as to balance the time for the coursework as well as their
own personal life. Hence, a person requires strengthening another set of skills so as to excel
at that online program. A person using online program for learning the courses might not
have instructors to plan their path, like in a traditional way of study (Stanton & Stanton, 2017).
While the opposing side advocates for the learning of coursework in a safer and comfortable
environment, I would like to inform that comfortable environments are not the best places to
learn better skills and gain knowledge.
So, ladies and gentlemen, I would like to inform that traditional classrooms cannot be
replaced by the online platforms. But, in the hours of need, they can still be used to avoid a
break between the studies.
