AFFORDABLE CARE ACT
Affordable care act was designed to promote cost effective services in the healthcare
industry. The ever increasing cost of medical facilities posed a threat to the patients as they
failed to avail the services to ensure their wellbeing (Blumenthal, Abrams & Nuzum 2015).
The aim of the cost effective techniques was to control the prices of medical facilities. It was
concerned with the market of individual and group wellbeing. The law aimed to understand
the factors that cause potential growth of the costs of the medical facilities. To contain the
cost of the healthcare facilities is the purpose behind the enactment of the law. The slow
growth of healthcare facilities comes under the provision of ACA. They work to reduce the
deficiency the field of healthcare and make it available for the larger sections of the masses.
The effect of the ACA was visible on the legislative organizations as it helped to
bring about a revolution in the American Federal structure. It was started under the Obama
regime and it received transformation under the Trump government. The efforts on part of the
Trump Government failed to provide Medicaid. The issue was politicized and became an
issue of inter-governmental lobbying. Towards the end of 2017, the government had
abolished the penalty imposed on the individuals of the country who fail to obtain health
insurance. The political effect on the working of ACA was clearly visible on the new
implications that were brought about by the new government. The repeal and replace policies
promised to create a favorable policies for all the states.
