Question 1
Analysis of the aged care services
The aged members of the communities include people who are advanced in age and
cannot afford some of the basic needs. Aged services available for the older people in Australia
includes care in their homes and nursing homes. In most cases, the aged members of the
communities always lack the primary health care services which has contributed to poor health.
The aged always requires close medical attention due to their weak immune systems as they are
vulnerable to most of the opportunistic diseases, therefore, the above mentioned care to the older
should be made available to better their living standards.
Primary health care services can be defined as the services offered to the aged that covers
wide range of disease prevention, treatment and wellness. The services which have been
structured to support the aged in the community by health care facilities to ensure better health of
the aged within the community include nursing care where they are provided by insurance cover
to cater for their medication cost in case they fall sick. Other home care services structured for
the aged in the society include the provision of basic needs like clothing, food and shelter since
most of them cannot afford such services (Doyle, 2017).
The medical insurance cover for the aged has been structured effectively thus following the
financial status which cannot enable them to cater treatment cost on their own. The insurance
cover service organized by the health care facilities is one of the primary health approaches
which has impacted the lives and health of the aged positively in the community since they can
freely and easily afford medical services without incurring any extra cost. This has motivated
most of the aged people in the community to seek medical attention whenever they feel sick.

Provision of basic needs like shelter, food and clothing services to the aged has been
positively structured thus according to the primary health care approach since, without such basic
services, the aged are exposed to diseases and infections which are associated with the lack of
the above services mentioned. Provision of such basic needs to the aged is necessary to ensure
better health of the aged which is the primary health concerns as the services are structured to
improve the living standards of the aged in the community (Wonseok, Kato & Wangmi, 2015,
July).
The service is structured all aged people within the community to benefit from the
support provided despite their financial status. This has led to the shortage of such services since
they were meant for the less fortunate qged in the community. Therefore, this support service
should be restructured to favor only the poor in the society.
Question 2
The strategies set aside by the service providers for the older people to be in control of
services and care support they receive from the government and other non-government
organizations includes designing proper communication channel between the service provider
and the aged where they can easily communicate to them regarding the quality of services and
support they are being. By designing better communication, the older people qill be in control of
the lives since they can requested any health care services easily whenever they feel sick
(McDonald & Arden, 2015).

For the old to be in control of the service and care support they receive, they are provided
by the questionnaire forms where they give their comment about the services and support
received and suggestions on the quality of the service offered to them. This act will ensure that
they are in control of their lives since they will be able to suggest and comment on the quality
and type of services they lack (Liu, 2015, April).
The older people may be supported by the government and non- government organization
to be actively involved in the care delivery in the society by being incorporated in health
programs which might require the attention of every member of the society like vaccination since
they will help in convincing parents who are culturally bonded accept such programs (Lawn, et
al., 2017). It is evidenced that in most communities, the aged are the ones who dictate and ensure
that some of their cultural practices are upheld, therefore, by involving them to support such
programs, their judgment on the program will determine the community since they are the elders
in the communities.
The aged people in the society may not be supported to be actively involved in care
delivery in the society if they are against the service care provided to the community. For
instance, the health campaign to end FGM practices in the community, they are not supported to
be involved in such campaigns since they will not support the campaign (Hume & Johnston,
2017).
