Introduction to the Research Topic
• Ageing population refers to term that is used to explain shifts in age distribution
of population towards the people of the older ages.
• It is rapidly enhancing in several countries but in the developing countries whose
fertility reduces are started earlier experiencing rapid enhances in proportion of
the elder people.

Background to the Problem
• Population ageing is enhancing median age in population of region because of
reducing fertility rates and enhancing life expectancy.
• In ageing population, change in age structure of population with in country,
rising the average age as well as growing number of the people which living
beyond standard working ages.

Review of the literature
 To understand concept of aging population
According to the article published by economic online, world's population is ageing
with the rate of 10 percent by the year 2050 the same will be rise to over 20 percent.
On the basis of opinion of L.A. Frolik (2019),Ageing population has to linked with
many socio and economic factors and health consequences such as dependency
ratio, expenditures of medical bills etc., but the current challenge which is being
faced by any country is public health because it has increased burden on a particular
nation regarding health care cost and national budgets.

Rise in ageing population is due to two reasons i.e. increase in longevity in this
average age of population is higher and decline in fertility rate when there is a
decrease in fertility transitions.

 To identify potential issues that are caused due to ageing population
Aged people are considered as an important part of a family as they become one of
the reason for holding members of family together for longer period of time. But
in terms of nation, aged people is one of the issue that can cause problem.

 To analyse influence of ageing population on health care provision in UK
Population of ageing is related to demographical transitions and according to NHS
five year plan (2014), they are analysing what are future health and social care
consequences that are be looked after so that delivery of the same can be more
effective in nature.

As per opinion of Anyssa Garza (2018), it has been stated that In some of their
health care provision they have includes some of the diseases that are severe
such as cancer and cardiac problems, dementia, reduction in waiting time,
providing services so that level of patient satisfaction can be fulfilled etc.

Research methodology
• Qualitative and Quantitative are two different types of research method.
• In qualitative method, data is measured on the theoretical basis and provide
detailed information. Quantitative research method is measured on statistical
basis.
• This research is based on qualitative research because it provides theoretical
description about research area.
