4. Increasing the personal leadership agility for obtaining achievements in future
The scenario clearly depicts the considerable challenges faced by the business leaders of
Singapore Airlines due to the ineffective decision making process. It is thus suggested that these
leaders need to maintain the appropriate leadership agility and improve the performance
consistency for accomplishing organisational goals. The insights obtained from the scenario
develop the idea about the agile leadership practices that would be helpful for me in shaping my
future in professional and personal contexts. Some of the specific agile leadership practices are

These 12 agile leadership practices are quite helpful for building the future as a successful leader.
I have observed that I lack some of these skills on which I need to work. Here are some of the
traits that I need to improve for the future prospects.
Emotional Intelligence
I have observed that while dealing with any difficult situations, I become emotional when I
see others’ situation. In a professional field, I need to be more practical having adequate respect
for someone’s emotions. I need to think the justified solution by applying my intellect.
Personal Value Sensitization
When I am conveying any message, I do not think about whether the message receivers have
understood my interpretation. Often I face trouble due to such misinterpretation of the message. I
can fulfill this gap by developing my concerns after conveying my messages. I need to improve
communication efficiency to clarify the messages more skillfully. I need to observe whether the
messages are understood properly or not.
Mindful of Impact
During making any organisational decision, I have to be much cautious about difficult calls. I am
often too polite with everyone due to which I face trouble in taking difficult decision. However,
as an agile leader, I need to improve my conscience and need to be more efficient in developing
the concerns regarding what is right and what is wrong. Even if it is tough for me, I need to be
much professional to think of organisational betterment at the first place.
The above practices would be much fruitful in developing my leadership ability for the
upcoming future. I need to develop these characteristics in order to shape my future as a

successful agile leader. When we deal with the dynamic situations, we always have something to
learn about and we need to grab such opportunity. These are the practices that I need to improve
in my leadership. Rectifying the gaps with more efficiency would be helpful for the future and
would ensure success as an agile leader. It is necessary for me to improvise my leadership
capability with more promptness. In addition to this, undertaking the corrective actions would be
more fruitful for establishing a successful career in future.
