1ADOPT AGILE METHODOLOGY FOR A PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Task A:
In any software organization, Software Development Life Cycle is the process followed
for specific software to enhance, develop, maintain, alter or replace to improve the software
quality and development process in whole. It is very important to choose the right model for the
development of software products and application. Today IT projects are aiming to develop a
fast-changing technology with agile methodology. There is a number of companies where the
implementation of agile software development increases. The same situation goes with the
Australian software organization where the local and reputed businesses follow the same trend.
The agile methodology uses phased planning or iterative and continuous integration (Flora &
Chande 2014, pp.3626-3637). This methodology will increase the satisfaction of the customer
with the collaborative measure. However, in combination with the traditional management of the
project, agile development methodology is feasible and preferable to any software organization.
A case study has done to support the evidence of the companies that adopt agile
methodology as a new software development method (Calitz, Cullen & Greyling 2015). The
company focuses on outsourcing firm where providing software solutions to various areas. They
have expertise in the area of JAVA, .NET and PHP who deliver mobile application, website
development mainly from Australia, United States and Asian nations. They all have an approach
to waterfall model in their project for about four years. It has found that the drawbacks of the
traditional method have affected the success of the project. In that case, the director of the
company decided to adopt the new software development methodology. Scrum is the part of the
agile project management that was adopted by the company.

customers’ satisfaction. Even after offering adaptive, innovative and friendly products to
customers due to the approach to waterfall model there had limitations with the flexibility and
optimization that has prevented the company from reaching the development process. To address
the problem of the working model, the CEO then found the Scrum that is the part of the agile
methodology (Vlietland & van Vliet 2015).
Agile methods as compared to the traditional method are most suitable for the
development of the software projects just because of the duration of the development of the
project is short. When it is already increasing the satisfaction of the customer, it has found that
the implementation of the agile method has served a solution to change the requirement of the
projects rapidly. The stage-gate model has developed a lifecycle of the project management with
a different stage of the product development to manage the project (Mahadevan, Kettinger &
Meservy 2015, p.5). In contrast to management of the agile project and the stage-gate model,
agile can minimize the changes require to complete the product in time.
Thus, Adam concept of adopting Agile Methodology for the IT project is justifiable as it
