The story points can be used in the traditional project management as it gives estimates
that are more accurate and considerably helps in reducing the planning time of the project and
predicts the release date accurately. The estimation using story points generally uses Fibonacci
series to estimate the time requirement of complex project. This method is generally used in
agile; however, it can be used in traditional project management as well. Story points find little
usage in traditional project management as this type of project has a fixed scope. However, since
the estimation of story points allows the estimation to be done independently and therefore
estimation of the different phases of the traditional project management can be done using this
approach. Estimation of effort and duration can be separately done following the story point
approach. Since a traditional project, management approach ensures delivery of the project
within schedule; the story point approach may further help in estimating the project more
accurately.

the maximum time limit for an activity. Timeboxing plays an important role in the projects
related to software development and supply chain management. This is because the timely
delivery of products is very important in this type of project.
Fixed length sprints helps in improving the coordination and save the planning time as
well. It further helps in removing the variability in the project resulting in the delivery of a better
quality project. Fixed sprint furthermore helps to in increasing the team velocity and exploiting
the capabilities of the team. Apart from these, the fixed length sprints helps in dealing with the
