Since birth to old age, a person aims to achieve some or the other thing. With the current trends,
factors and strategies that help to achieve preferred goals, it is essential to pay attention to
attitude and change of mindset in old age. I have prepared My Life Portfolio in which I have
included portfolio aspects, factors and strategies to adopt success in the future. The personal life
portfolio aspects that I will discuss are spiritual development, leisure, and legacy planning in
retirement. The factors that influence the role of achiever are culture, health and housing. There
are few strategies that I have discussed; these are improving emotional intelligence, focus on
motivation and prioritization. With the help of these strategies, I will ensure that I achieve my
preferred goals at a preferable period.
My life Portfolio

The three aspects that I have considered in My collection are;
Spiritual development
Leisure
Legacy planning in retirement and old age
Old age and spirituality are connected and ensure a significant phenomenon in quantitative terms
of data. Spirituality is the theme of interest that does not interest science concepts. There is
considerable connectivity towards ageing and spiritual development to which it leads to a
meaningful life (Vanhaelen, Moskalev, Maoshina & Scheibye-knudsen, 2018, 27). The
recognition and importance of awakening spirituality is the core aspect that will possibly
encourage a person to focus on spirituality that will help to consider the quality of life. There is a
contrary direction that leads to the final stage of life to which inclusion of promotion of health
and spiritual development is considerable.
Legacy planning in retirement is a meaningful aspect that ensures spending time with family and
engages in financial planning. Retirement at the age of 65 means the critical influence in terms of
arriving in a decision that begins with security and safety aspects. The aspect is majorly
concerned with writing a will for children and start planning legacy (Seetharaman & Chaudhury,

2020, 13). I will focus on legacy planning when I am 65 years old to consider and prepare for
future planning. I will make sure that legacy planning will be successfully organized with the
help of a financial advisor to reduce the level of confusion and engage in a successful plan. The
aspect of legacy planning is a meaningful way to consider before death because of the wealth and
possession that the person has needed to be passed in charities or to children (Wong, 2018, 2).
However, it is the choice of an individual to consider legacy planning in retirement. I will make
sure that I work on legacy planning in old age so that things get solved quickly, and financial
advisor will help me to prepare legacy to which special requests and level of financial security
are achieved. This will comfort my children, and I will leave a financial legacy that will provide
security and safety to children. There are several issues in terms of financial security to which
financial advisor solves the affairs of estate management and other business issues. The reason I

the primary aspect of focusing on the standard of living while following ethics and culture.

factor that leads to influencing the decision that ensures and accepts housing options for an
individual (Halaschek-Wiener, 2018, 27). My attitude to changing house in old age will not be
preferable. I will make sure that a family that protects and loves me. Housing and care policies
are considerations that lead to the housing market in the future. Elderly population do not prefer
to change house.
3 Strategies
The three strategies that I will adapt to support the success in my future life are
Improve emotional intelligence
Focus on motivations
Prioritize
Improving emotional intelligence ensures a practical analysis of the situation. Overall
information is the primary factor that leads to contributing success in the future. Emotional
intelligence refers to understanding the emotions of their own and others (Marsman, et al., 2018,
17). I will make sure that I manage my emotions at work and pay attention to the necessary
contribution at home and work. Listening to others is a good deal as it involves solving problems
and paying attention to new ideas and concepts. In my life, I want to control my emotions and
focus on emotional intelligence to which I can understand people’s perception and utilize in
communication. Emotionally intelligent people are strong and sturdy too, which they develop
mental toughness. Therefore, I need to be emotionally strong and mentally sturdy to achieve my
goals.
The other strategy that will help me to gain my future goals is to motivate others with the help of
intrinsic motivation. External rewards are just about reaching towards financial perspective.

Intrinsic motivation keeps a person feeling inspired all the time to which rewards are non-
monetary (Cummings, et al., 2018, 21). I will motivate myself while reading books and articles
to which it will help me to achieve my goals. In the future, I will be able to achieve my dreams
and consider myself worth after seeing all the efforts I made to become an intrinsic motivator.
Intrinsic motivation will help me to improve my performance and communicate effectively.
