3 “aha’s” moments
The first “aha” moment for me in my progression of the nursing program has been gaining
insight regarding evidence based practices which helped me to incorporate a problem solving
approach in my practices. This has helped me to apply best practices in making decisions for
delivery of effective Health Services and providing care to the individual patients as suggested
by LoBiondo-Wood & Haber (2017).
The second moment has been updating my knowledge and skills related to nursing management.
It has helped me in understanding the risk and effectiveness of the related treatments and the
leadership and management skills that can be applied effectively to delegate tasks and maintain
discipline in the concerned department I am working.
The third moment has been better understanding of importance of community health nursing
specifically involving the vulnerable population. I was able to analyze the need for improving the
health outcomes at population level and understand the essence of evidence based practices
which focus on ethics based practices while delivering care to vulnerable group.
Role of professional nurse
The role of professional nurse is constantly evolving which is intertwined with new
technological innovations in the field of Healthcare (Fernández-Feito et al. 2019, p.134). I
understand that assessment and monitoring of health outcomes related to patient and relying on
important information to other colleagues and care provider is an essential aspect of professional
nursing work ethics.
Spiritual and cultural aspect
The spiritual and cultural belief integration in my work practices emphasizes more on values and
preferences of patients while delivering care and involving conscientious approach to improve
the health outcomes.

acknowledgement in discussion made by Slade of the various roles played by the professional
nurse.
I agree to Brittany view regarding incorporating evidence based practices which is biting to the
nursing practices delivery of Health Services. Her views regarding professional nursing and
