business organisations. Business organisations need to look at AI with the perspective of
increasing capabilities of the company instead of piece of technology. AI is used by business
organisations to conduct different tasks. Three primary categories in which AI assists in
important business requirements is automating business processes, gaining insight through data
analysis and ensuring effective consumer and employee engagement (Kmart launches AR-
powered Kbot, 2020). The most important application of AI is consumer engagement. Business
organisations are able to ensure effective engagement with large number of consumers with the
help of AI. In addition to this AI such as intelligent agents help the company engage with
consumers and answer their queries and address a wide range of topic 24/7 help the company
provide effective consumer services in a cost effective way. In addition to this usage of AI in
consumer engagement is that business organisations are able to to create omni-channel presence
and create personalised consumer interaction. This can help the company increase online sales
and provide seamless experience to the consumer across every communication portal of the
company. Kmart is an Australian retail firm which utilises conversational AI tool which interacts
with consumers of the company and provides information related to product features (Artificial
Intelligence for the Real World, 2018). The AI chatbot personality used by the company
enhances consumer experience by making shopping easier and delightful. Usage of AI has
helped the company create effective consumer experience and interact and interact with large
number of consumers easily without investing in labour.
