Case Scenario One:
After a thorough investigation on the mentioned case study it has been noticed that the
fundamental problem related to this case has stated the offered job dies not matches the
technical skills of a person. Thus, the ethical dilemma is that the person should accept the job
by telling the lie or the person should express that s/he does not have any knowledge about
the technology. In the case scenario the major stakeholders are the interviewer, company and
the parson to whom the job has been offered. Followed by this concept it can be stated that if
the parson say the lie and accept the job, s/he will face several limitation related to the
development of the software in the software company as well as it will cause a huge loss to
the organization as they will not be able to deliver the desired product within the expected
time. According to the ACM codes the mentioned case scenario consists the limitations
related to the honesty of the employ as it is one of the important aspect of the success of any
organization. Along with that there is also a significant concern present related to the
capabilities of the interviewer as it is expected from the interviewer to analyse the
capabilities of the candidate as well as to verify whether the candidate is capable for this job
or not. Thus, from the analysis it has been noticed that in the current scenario the ethical
dilemma is present in both the way such as the honesty of the candidate as well as the
decision making capability of the interviewer.
Case Scenario Two:
After investigating the case scenario it has been noticed that the fundamental concern
of this study is about copying someone else effort and presenting it as your own job.
Followed by this aspects it is mentioned in the case that there is an investment manager who
wants to earn money by using someone else product. In this case scenario it has been
identified that the developer, investment manager as well as the organization is one of the
major stakeholders of the current case scenario as the product which have been not tested in

full-scale is not ready for real time application as well as without a detail analysis of the
customer it is not right to deliver such product and earn money. It can be stated that due to
this action there will be significant impact related to the customer satisfaction which can
cause several limitations related to product effectiveness as well as the reputation of the
targeted organization. According to the ACM codes of ethics it is a case of professional
responsibility as in the mentioned project if the developer allows the investment manager to
sell the incomplete product to the clients it will cause a violation of the codes of
professionalism as providing an incomplete product and earning money is a sort fraud which
can damage the reputation of the organization as well as a loss will be accounted from the
clients end.
Case Scenario Three:
After a thorough investigation on the mentioned case scenario it has been noticed that
this case is related to an aspect of data vulnerability of a medical centre. The major is
accounted in this case is that the hacker has hacked the patient data from the medical centre
as well as published some on the data. After the analysis it has been noticed the major
stakeholders present in this situation is the information management team of the medical
centre, patients, hospital authority as well as the hacker. Due is this action there is a
significant impact on the privacy of the patients as the hacker has all the information about
the individual, thus the hacker can harm anyone’s life. However, the hacker has revealed that
he will not publish the content as the purpose of this action is to alert the organization about
the security of the information technology. Followed by the purpose of this case scenario it is
a case of Whistleblowing since it has the purpose to alert the organization about data security.
However, in the mentioned case scenario there is a positive act held by the hacker, still this is
accounted as unethical act as stealing someone else data without any concern of the
individual is a violation of the privacy ethics according to the ACM codes.

Case Scenario Four:
Automatic brakes implemented on many modern vehicles are a safety feature and
prevents collision by applying automatic brakes. The system functions in a way where if a
vehicle approaching another vehicle comes closer and loses its balance then even before the
manual brakes are applied the automatic brakes get applied thus preventing the accident. The
customers are mainly benefitted from the system and the market uptake is high. I am working
on a computer-controlled crash avoidance system with my team. The project is almost ready
but I found a flaw that is the automatic brakes were decreasing the speed of the car abruptly
whenever a certain speed limit exceeded and this can be dangerous as in the roads where
there is a specific speed limit set, the sudden decrease can lead to accidents. The project
manager was informed but he just ignored the fact. According to the ACM Code of Ethics
and Professional Conduct, the manager should look into the flaw, reconsider the design of the
system, and make the necessary changes so that the customers do not fall in trouble. The
manager is not thinking of the customer’s part as the faulty system will affect the customers
mainly and it involves high risk and even lead to death of the person driving and believing
that the automatic brake system will be the saviour in any case if he meets with an accident.
The manager needs to hold that task but unfortunately his conscience is not pricking him and
he has turned deaf ears. Whenever the issue is raised, he avoids and is of the opinion that it is
not a big fault. Being a team member, I approached the manager first but it seems the higher
officials need to know about this.
