Introduction
Computer ethics are defined as the new kind of practice and are said to be not matured enough to
for its history to be talked about but a better study has revealed that the history of the computer
ethics that is of a time span about 50 years, is not only encouraging but also providing the
mandatory foundation for responding to the current ethical problems of computer technologies.
In the course of this report, the dos and don’ts of the computer ethics are discussed. In the course
of this report, a learner would be able to perform tasks such as identifying the values that are
considered to be ethical, and also perform the analysis over the different ethical values and
finding the appropriate ethics to be used in any given scenario.

Identification of Ethical Values
Following are the ethical values that are followed by some of the institutions around the world.
The Institutional Code of Ethics used in IEEE-CS
The software engineer should work with a constancy along with the interest of the public,
for the betterment of the society
The way in which the developers' work must be in the mutual interest in the betterment of
the other clients as well as the organization.
The product that has been prepared by the developers must be the best quality that they
can serve
The integrity and morality of the organizations must now be broken
The software approach must be applied in promoting the computer ethics that are
themselves followed by the developers.
The reputation of the organization must never be compromised in any case by the
developer.
The colleagues in an organization must always be supported at the time of their need.
The developer must always be keen to learn new techniques that they might learn while
creating a product.

The Institutional Code of Ethics used in AIPT
Acknowledging the obligations to the system by the distribution of information with
different people and representation of factual and objective data to manage and accept the
entire accountability for the work that has been done (Ogunlere and Adebayo, 2015).
Acknowledging obligations to the colleagues by providing complete transparency
without taking the benefits of the lack of information or experience of any colleague for
self-gain.
Acknowledging of obligations to the social elements by securing the confidentiality of all
the data that is supported by an appropriate locality.
Acknowledging of obligations to the seniors by minimizing conflicts of interests and
making sure that the managers are always in the loop and are informed of any potential
confliction, and by securing the confidentiality of their data (Ogunlere and Adebayo,
2015).
Both of the above-mentioned code of ethics can be implemented in school or the institution and
could be made clear to the students by replacing the employees with students and managers with
teachers.

Analysis of Ethical Issues
Following are the major ethical issues that might be observed the most in a classroom that has
been introduced to technology.
Honesty in Academics
In the present time, it is not very difficult to use websites and search engines in order to obtain
multimedia which can either be legal but in some cases may be illegal. There are some websites
that even allow infinite downloads of movie, musicals, or game, which in some cased may
neglect the thin line between what is available for free and what is copyrighted. As a matter of
fact, some children are not even aware that the copy and paste is plagiarism as the sources they
used was not having an author and assumed that “common knowledge” (Mattison, 2018).
Electronic Communication
Electronic communications between the teacher and student are considered to be helpful, but the
line is sometimes crossed between business and personal. The students often do not realize when
to act professional and not to go personal over electronic communication or in general. Students
must be told and warned regarding the dangers of assuming that it is not a big deal if the emails
that are sent by them are personal. Especially while having the usage of the email system
provided by the institution as they can easily be publicized (Mattison, 2018).
Cyberbullying
As per the studies that are done in this sector in the past, there are some users of Facebook that
are using the platform to distribute multimedia among the students, in order to brainwash them or
to influence them to think in a particular direction. There are institutions that have a Facebook
page for their cohorts, and their intentions are just to connect the students via the page are often
positive, but since there are no guidelines given on the forum, it eventually leads to ethical
problems. Sharing of private data of a student or a teacher may take place on the forum which
has to be stopped in order to protect the privacy and integrity of the individual as well as the
organization (Mattison, 2018).

The decision of my Findings.
The most essential segment of among all the information provided in the report is to give the
children the tool and methodologies for the developing the ethical skill and knowing the value of
professionalism so that they acquire the ability to make decisions by their own that whether an
action associated with computer science is correct or incorrect. The student must have the ability
defining the elements of a plan that is structured for resolving ethical issues and, in this process,
will have the ability to have the knowledge on the basis for their own ethical systems (Rodeno,
et. al., 2015).
There are various resources that a teacher may use as a reference in order to teach the computer
ethics to the students a single solution cannot be applied to all the school due to the diversity and
uniqueness in the ideology of every other school (Rodeno, et. al., 2015).
In terms of the researches and the studies that focus on computer ethics, some of the studies that
were found were associated with the subject. A study was done on the same subject in the past
that focused on a sample of a few hundred university students showed that almost 90% of
students of the university said yes for using the computer systems at least once a day for some
kind of work that can be termed as unethical which includes practices like software piracy. Some
of the individuals that were a part in this study revealed that they used to buy a copy of any
software and then created its copies for other students in return of money or any other interests.
Another survey that was done in the past on this specific subject, on students who were in the
first year of the university. The study revealed that more than half of the students were using
copied software (Iyadat, et. al., 2012).
There are many laws in many countries that can be implemented strictly in the school in order to
stop the unethical use of the computers; one of these laws in the Higher Education Act of 1965,
this law informs the students that non authorized sharing of copyrighted software or any media
may lead them to civil or criminal liabilities. If the students are aware that the work they are
going to do is a criminal offense and may cause them a lot of trouble, the unethical use of a
computer would eventually decrease to a large extent (Iyadat, et. al., 2012).
