Introduction:
The assignment aims to understand the impact and importance of artificial intelligence. This help
to determine the power and influence of technology advancement in daily routine. The objective
for research is to find out the future impact of AI in daily routine. This will help to find the
area of application where artificial intelligence can improve and provide a benefit to the people.
This report has 4 sections which cover the aim of the project, timeframes, and objectives. It also
has research and information gathering and meaningful conclusions from the evidence. For better
representation and understanding, this report includes a proper project management plan, work
break down structure and Gantt chart. This report also includes quantitative and qualitative
research on the impact of artificial intelligence along with the analysis of gathered data. This will
also cover the negative impact of artificial intelligence.

theme.
P1 Devise project aims and objectives for a chosen scenario.
According to the scenario, technology advancement has a great impact on the way of living.
Technologies such as AI is popularly used in various aspects of life. Machines are taking the
place of humans and make life easier by solving complex tasks faster than a human. Artificial
intelligence can be referred to as a simulation of the intelligence of human with the power of
machines. AI can be seen in virtual assistant systems such as Siri, Cortana, etc. Other
applications of artificial intelligence include image recognition, chatbots, sentiment analysis,
natural language generation, speech recognition, etc. Artificial intelligence can be incorporated
with various type of technologies such as automation, machine learning, machine vision, natural
language processing, Robotics, self-driving cars, etc. Some of the most common factors where
artificial intelligence can be used are healthcare, business, education, finance, law,
manufacturing, etc. On the basis of the given scenario based on artificial intelligence aim and
objective of the project is as following:
Aim of the project: The project aim is to research the impact of the future influence of artificial
intelligence in daily routines.
The objective of the project: The objective of the project is to understand the positive or
negative impact of the artificial intelligence in various aspect and areas of daily life such as
education, healthcare, transportation, security, etc. Another objective of this is to understand the
importance and more possible areas of artificial intelligence application. The motive is to check
the robustness and reliability of artificial intelligence. Another objective is to understand the
challenges of AI along with its importance.

P2 Produce a project management plan that covers aspects of cost, scope, time,
quality, communication, risk, and resources.
The project is based on understanding the future impact of artificial intelligence influence in
daily life. Artificial intelligence deals with the automation and intelligence of the computer. The
project management plan is a roadmap to understand the steps to obtain the project goal.
Project management plan:
Project scope This AI based research can be extended into
depth research in a particular field such as
cybersecurity and many more. This will give
a detailed analysis of AI in that field.
Project cost The cost is required for the research on AI,
gathering data from various sources, various
resources to understand the impact of AI on
them. Other expenses required for testing and
analysis tools, meetings, etc.
The time required for the project The estimated required time duration for the
project is 25-30 days.
Project communication plan Communication medium for this project is
primarily meetings and group discussions.
Other ways for communication for the project
are emails, calls, video conferencing, etc.

The above work breakdown structure shows that the project is divided into four sections which
are project initiation, project planning, project execution, and project testing. Thee sections
includes setting the goals and objectives, preparing a project management plan, scheduling,
identification of risk and resources, prepare a communication plan, perform qualitative and
quantitative research which is followed by checking the accuracy of gathered data, analysis of
outcomes, finding out the recommendations, etc.

project.
Project management plan help to define the project planning, execution and monitoring. This
gives an idea about a described action or process to be followed to achieve the goal.
To prepare a project management plan following steps should be followed:
 Identification of stakeholders
 Setting and prioritization of goals
 Define roles and responsibilities
 Create the schedule and baseline for cost
 Identification of risks
For this project the work breakdown structure and Gantt chart help to understand the project
management plan. The task is clearly divided and prioritize with the help of these.

LO2 Conduct small-scale research, information gathering and data collection
to generate knowledge to support the project.
P4 Carry out small-scale research by applying qualitative and quantitative research
methods appropriate for meeting project aims and objectives.
Small research is carried out to gather data about artificial intelligence and to understand the
impact of it. The research methods used in this are qualitative and quantitative. To gather this
data various ways can be followed such as questionnaire, personal interviews, surveys, etc. Other
ways used to collect data about AI is research papers, news, blogs, etc.
To meet the objectives and aim of the project, the following are some common questions based
on AI that asked in the form of surveys, questionnaires, and interviews.

Analysis of quantitative research:
On the basis of survey and questionnaire, it is observed that people have mix opinions about
artificial intelligence and other aspects of it. Such as:
Almost 39% of people think that society will become worse from increased use of AI and 61 %
of people think that the situation will become much better with the use of it.
65% of people trust Artificial intelligence-based equipment whereas 35% of people do not trust
them.
In the case of a doctor or medical treatment, 63 % of people trust a human doctor and 37%
people trust on AI doctor.
Almost 80% of people support the use of AI at the workplace whereas 20% think that it will
affect the quality of the work.
Analysis of qualitative research:
On the basis of qualitative research, it is analyzed that artificial intelligence gives many positive
results that can make life better and easier. Such as in health care it can help in the analysis of
patient data, in agriculture it helps to predict the weather, etc. Artificial intelligence can be
applied in smart virtual assistants, chatbots, market research, etc. there are some other fields
where AI methods can be implemented such as automation, cybernetics, hybrid intelligent
system, intelligent agent, intelligent control, automated reasoning, data mining, gaming, speech
recognition, natural language processing, chatbots, etc. AI systems are able to give fast and
accurate results (Osuwa and Ekhoragbon, 2017). But at the same time, most people are not aware
of the AI. They have trust issues and security related issues with working of artificial
intelligence. It is said that people will become lazier and dependent on machines. Although
research says technology can play a big part in our lives (LIU, KONG, and XIA, 2018). Using
AI based security equipment such as a camera, motion sensor, smart doors, smart lock, etc.

There are built in assistants in smartphones such as Siri which helps to complete the task in an
easy way. Artificial intelligence has the potential to offer a great amount to the global economy.
For example, YouTube suggestions are based on algorithms, that suggest the videos according to
the interest of the individual. Automated transportation and self-driving cars can be helpful for
people who are physically disabled. It improves patient care by helping with everyday tasks. It
can monitor various diseases and able to treat it accordingly. Thus, the main motive behind the
concept of artificial intelligence is to create expert systems (Shabbir and Anwer, 2015). Artificial
intelligence powers virtual assistants. Financial companies can use AI for fraud monitoring etc.
AI is able to find out and analyse the pattern of transactions and can alert the user if any
suspicious activity found. Hospitals that use AI to handle the patients see fewer accidents and it
also allows the doctor to understand genetic diseases in patients by analysing patient’s data. It
saves a lot of time and provides quick treatment to the patient. Also, along with its advantages,
artificial intelligence also possesses some major concerns related to security and reliability. For
example, automated cars can be hacked and suppose the case when an autonomous car or vehicle
gets an accident then the charge is unclear. Another important concern of Artificial intelligence
is the probability of abusing AI-based tools. Hackers can compromise the system and gain access
to systems and access sensitive information (LIU, KONG, and XIA, 2018).

M2 Evaluate the accuracy and reliability of different research methods applied.
Selection of a suitable and best research method allows the researcher to successfully get the
answer to the question. To ensure the reliability and accuracy of the research data, data should be
reviewed. For quantitative data triangulation method is used. Other ways to ensure the accuracy
of quantitative data is to store the data in the form of tables and spreadsheets. The qualitative
data represents the views of people which is verified from the other resources. For this report,
several sources of information used that ensure that data is trustworthy. Quantitative and
qualitative research methods have their own set of advantages. Results of quantitative research
methods are valid and reliable. Qualitative research is able to obtain rich descriptive data with
the help of interviews, case studies, cultural immersion, and observation (Lam and Boettger,
2017).

LO3 Present the project and communicate appropriate recommendations
based on meaningful conclusions drawn from the evidence findings and/or
analysis.
P5 Analyse research and data using appropriate tools and techniques.
The research and data using the appropriate tools and techniques are as follows:
• Defining the objectives: The different objectives of the AI-based system design should be
identified and defined firstly and then the objectives behind the system development should be
defined properly so that the system which is totally based on the artificial intelligence should be
developed more effectively and efficiently.
• Data collection: The data should be collected from different sources in order to
summarize the data and perform the data analysis in order to develop the AI-based systems more
effectively and efficiently.
• Data Analysis: The data which is collected should be properly analyzed in order to check
whether the data which is collected is relevant and useful for the system development or not an
to make the data more useful for the AI-based system development.
• System design: The system design phase should be more effectively and efficiently
performed by the designers and developers in order to provide the better and effective design to
the system which is to be developed for the users. The system is designed by the graphics and
system designers in such a way keeping in mind the requirements of the users for whom the
system has been developed.
• Development: the system development is performed in order to develop the AI-based
system for the different users in order to provide the system with the desired functionalities so
that the users might perform their desired tasks.
• Implementation: After the system development the system is implemented in order to
perform the desired tasks so the users might use the implemented systems. The users might
perform their desired tasks with the help of that system. The implementation of the system
