Summary:
Considering the vision of the UAE government, the Emirates NBD bank has been
associated with moving towards the rapid digitalization of their process and services.
Emirates NBD bank has planned for the usage of artificial intelligence so as to increase their
efficiency. There are various reasons behind the implementation of Artificial intelligence.
The usage of the AI would be helping in having real-time data processing by the Credit
Center and the Disbursals units. This in turn would be helping in the elimination of the
challenges associated with the processing, controlling and analyzing millions of unstructured
and fluctuant data of the banks. The efficiency would also be increased as the AI would be
helping in reduction of the time and effort spent upon routine, frequent and repetitive tasks
eliminating the biggest workloads of the banking industry.
Aim:
The major aim of this proposal is to analyze the implementation of AI in the Emirates
NBD bank so as to remain strategic as well as a core management differentiator. The
implantation would be aimed at having a real-time overview of the data along with helping in
saving the cost and increasing the efficiency of the bank by reducing the time as well as the

effort that is put upon the frequent and the repetitive tasks. Besides this the implementation is
also aimed at providing customers with a better experience of the different services.
Objectives:
To understand the risks that might arise due to the implementation of automation
To understand the impact that the automation process would be having upon the different
services and the ways of competing with the new Fintech who have entered the marker.
Research questions:
What are the risks associated with the implementation of artificial intelligence?
How can the AI implementation help the bank in remaining strategic?
How can the AI implementation impact the process and the customer services of Emirates
NBD bank?
Research methodology:
The research would be conducted by making use of the qualitative as well as the
quantitative research methodology. The research philosophy that will be used is positivism.
Positivism is associated with helping in believing the fact that the usage of the artificial
intelligence by the Emirates NBD bank is in stable state. The philosophy will help in
observing as well as describing it from the objective point of view regarding the chosen topic
for the research. Which means this can be done without interfering any of the phenomena that
are being studied. The research would also be associated with the usage of a questionnaire,
which is to be distributed amongst the Emirates NBD bank employees mainly to those
members belonging to the customer service team. Additionally, face to face interview will
also be conducted so as to gain feedback regarding the AI implementation.

The secondary data will be gathered by detailed study upon the banks which have
already been associated with the implementation process of Artificial Intelligence in their
banking processes and procedure. Besides this the failure or success in the implementation of
the AI will also analyzed. Different strategies that have been adopted by other banks will also
evaluated for gathering the data in order to obtain the research objectives.
