and ensure that there is successful exchange of information within the workplace. Also, the
present report is based on Sainsbury that is specialized in selling variety of goods in various
markets. Furthermore, the study will explain different types of Software and network
technologies that is used in business. Also, report will identify various Ethics and social issues
that cause hindrances in business through detailed analysis and discussions. Lastly, the study will
highlight significance of the artificial intelligence in working of Sainsbury daily routine
operations.

Different types of Software in general
According to Kumar and Rashid, (2018) software refers to set of instructions, programs
and data that are used to operate computer and execute certain task of the business. Furthermore,
Sung, Chae and Lee, (2019) stated that there are various type of software that might be used
within the business depending upon the objectives it wishes to full fill. Also, application software
is most common that helps in performing specific function for the business. Furthermore, system
software is another software that is designed in way that helps in running computer program and
applications. Also, another type of software that is similar to system software and in this device
drivers controls the devices, and then they are connected with computer. However, Lima and
et.al., (2019) critically argued that using any kind of software is costly affair to the business and
also it is time-consuming process that might create negative impact especially on the small
business that have other primary activities to be conducted. Also, stated that programming
software are also very common where it helps in enabling tools so that they are able to write,
develops other software programs. Thus, all the software main purpose it to provide ease in the
business and its certain activities.
Ethics and Social Issues of using technology in general
Based on views of Locatelli, (2020) technology has brought vast change in the current
lifestyle of various people and it can be said that with use of various digital technologies work
could be carried out in much easier manner. Furthermore, Bull and Ridley-Duff, (2019) stated
that even though technology has brought various positive effects on current economy but it had

created various ethical and social issues within the country. Also, one of the ethical issue is that
cases of misuse of personal information had been increasing with greater pace which means hat
there is no such kind of safety and security of personal data and information. Moreover, another
ethical issue is the presence of any kind of misinformation that will only lead to greater
confusion and problems of conflicts. Further, in context of social issues it can be said that it had
lead to communication break down where individuals are not having time to talk to their families
more often. Also, the people are not able to focus on the health and fitness and hence it had only
led to the unhealthy lifestyle of the people.
Networking Technology, different types in general
According to Finn, (2018) network technology is used of data systems to manage and
deliver various kind of digital resources over computer network. Also, there are various types of
networking technology that are used by any business depending on the current requirements and
goals. Moreover, various type of networking technologies included personal care network, local
area network, campus area network and much more. Furthermore, Radhakrishnan, Sriram, and
Manivannan, (2020) stated that the major benefit of using any kind of network technology is that
it helps in improving the communication and accessibility of the information. Also, it helps in
easy sharing various types of files that are necessary for carrying out various task within the
business. However, Swami, Dave and Ranga, (2021) critically argued that network technologies
have the major demerits is that chances of the virus and malware are high and such as times of
emergency such types of problems might reduce the overall organizational efficiency.

intelligence in form of machine that is programmed in way that links to the human. Moreover,
the artificial intelligence is best in manner that it had reduced lot of labour work and also allowed
ease in the working of the business. Furthermore, Bullock and et.al., (2020) stated that it is more
powerful and useful tool that is efficient enough to carry out certain task any time and anywhere
along with providing useful results without any error. Also, it has totally introduced the new
interface of human interactions and also allowed the people to live less stressful life.
However,Johnson and et.al., (2018) critically argued that machines might easily lead to

destruction as if implementation of machine is put in hands of wrong individuals than it will only
lead to wrongful result in the future. Also, it has created more unemployment within the country
and machine are replacing the human that only leads to the lead to inefficiency and lack of
development. Moreover, it is seen that machines involves high cost of maintenance and hence for
this organization that are not earning enough revenues will only result in unproductive and the
ineffective in long run. Thus, the artificial intelligence had created both positive and negative
impact and its depend upon the business and its objectives that it wish to achieve to use more of
such technologies within the workplace. Moreover, the artificial intelligence have only resulted
in the making the human lazy and dependent as it can be seen that most of the people are
becoming less creative and have limited thinking capacity currently.

According to Lee and et.al. (2020) software Development life cycle is structured process
that enables in production of the high quality and low cost software in short production time.
Furthermore, the major goal of SDLC is to produce the superior software that is exceeding all the
customer expectations and demands. Moreover , Dias and Ferreira, (2018) stated that there are
various types of SDLC models such as waterfall, agile, V shaped model, big bang model etc. that
are used by the business depending on certain short and long term objectives it wishes to achieve
in the future. Furthermore, it is known that if SDLC is conducted in right manner than it would
allow in the highest level of management control and best working of business. However, Sarkar,
(2018) argued that for SDLC documentation is very expensive and is very time-consuming to
create. Also, SDLC is based on stiff implementation and hence it does not encourage the
creativity within the workplace. Furthermore, it can be said that SDLC programs that are been
set within the firm are good for small projects where certain requirements are very clear and
static. Although, Duclervil and Liou, (2019) critically argued that though these programs are
good for company but users cannot review intermediate products and services to check whether
product is meeting the requirement or not.

Software in business and especially supermarket like Sainsbury has helped to make the
working process easier and also handles the complex task in most efficient manner(Al-Saqqa,
and et.al., 2020). Also, it is known that currently the company is using blue yonder technology to

make the supply chain effective and carry out various work using digital technologies. Moreover,
through using the right software the company is able to reduce the overall workload and is able
to make the business work in most effective manner. Furthermore, it can be said that it is very
essential for any company to choose it software wisely so that it is able to meet certain business
needs in timely manner. Moreover, the most common software that is used in Sainsbury is the
database software, payroll software for providing salaries to the employees in right and timely
manner and billing as well as asset management software etc. (Haenlein and Kaplan, 2019).
Thus, through using all these type of software it is able to mange and organize things in more
effective manner. Moreover, with the use of software the company is able to collect the relevant
data and make certain improvements in the future working of the business.
Ethics and social issues in Sainsbury
There are various issues that are prevailing within the society and it can be said it affects
the organizational working in negative manner. Also, these issues need to be addressed by the
firm on regular basis so that better results are derived in the end. Furthermore, in context of
ethical and social issue it can say that cited firm is having the problems of discrimination where
the employees working at different level are not treated equally and have some sort of the

the firm has been able to improve the accuracy of the results and also able to take corrective
actions on time. Further, the quality of the outcome had also been improved to greater extent
with use of various digital technologies. Although the technology had been good in most of the
ways but it causes unnecessary cost to the business and also high maintenance cost is required
that is not possible in those time when the firm is having limited revenues generation. Also, the
dependency factor had also been increased due to which employees working in the Sainsbury
cannot perform certain operations without the absence of the machines thus lowering their
thinking and creative levels at the workplace

From the above report it can be concluded that technologies has helped business to solve
and process complex task in most efficient manner. Furthermore, the present report had provided
the detailed review of various type of software's that had been used in the business to achieve
certain objectives. Moreover, discrimination, unethical accounting etc. business issues had also
been covered in report in detail. Furthermore, use of network technologies like WAN and VPN
