the research process Introduction
P1 Produce a research proposal that clearly defines a research question or hypothesis
supported by a literature review.
This research is based on the impact and the contribution of AI Robots. Artificial Intelligence
refers to the art of creating machines that behave like humans with the application of computer
science technologies. Nowadays everything is moving towards machine-oriented functions, the
use of the machines increased with specialized functions that make the machine to behave like a
human that includes functions like talking, resolving problems, listen and perform without the
involvement of any humans(Russell and Norvig, 2016).
The research proposal is based on the discussion based on this topic "How do AI and machine
learning contribute to the innovative use of technology e.g. robotics, automotive transportation?
Background
The main aim of conducting this research study is to understand the evolution of AI intelligence
and their role in the evolution of humans. The research is focused on the discussion about the
risk and vulnerabilities related to artificial intelligence, the technological advancement of the
Artificial Intelligence robots and the comparing the merits and the demerits of AI technological
benefits served by AI for the humans.
Justifications of the research topic
Machines played a great role in the evolution of the human and the topic "How do AI and
machine learning contribute to the innovative use of technology e.g. robotics, automotive
transportation?" will help in understanding the merits and demerits of the evolution of AI
technology. The main aim of choosing this research topic is to analyze the advantages of AI
technology (Mitchell et.al, 2013).

Literature Review
According to the author Tegmark, the evolution of the technologies is like a biological evolution
rather than designing the technologies. The author portrayed a different aspect of AI and the
achievement that achieved in the field of AI and the scope in the field of AI (Tegmark, 2018).
The author Collins discussed the limitations and the threats that are related to AI and the
limitations that are related to Artificial Intelligence. The author conducted a test for justifying his
thought about AI (Collins, 2018).
According to the authorSmibert, AI proved to provide various inventions regarding machines
that have helped the evolution of human beings. The author discussed various creations of AI as
a technology (Smibert, 2018).
The author Turner discussed the ethical and legitimate issue that is related to the technological
advance in the field of Artificial Intelligence. The author defined the innovations in AI not as
normal as other innovations in the past. The author addresses three issues that are related to
Artificial Intelligence (Turner, 2018).
Research Methodologies
The research will be conducted through three research methodologies:
Qualitative Research: This research method will cover the earlier researches in this field to get
an idea of the works that are done in this field. This research will be done from Journals, book,
and other relevant sources.
Quantitative Research: This research method will cover the statistical data regarding the research
topic. The statistics will be developed from the questionnaire that will be conducted on 20
peoples and from the previous academic references.
Survey Research: Survey research will be conducted on the basis of the questionnaire that will be
collected from around 20 people about their opinions regarding the advancement in Artificial
Intelligence (Alzeimer, 2019).

Primary Research Methods
Primary research is conducted on a personal level for getting a closer view of the research topic
and getting an understanding about the point of view of people regarding Artificial Intelligence
and its technological growth and about the impact that it has created in society. The most
appropriate research methods for analyzing the view of different individuals regarding Artificial
Intelligence is through surveys and questionnaire. The questionnaire can be conducted online or
by mail. There are two types of information’s that can be gathered from primary research
through questionnaire, firstly it provides the information's about the perspective of the peoples
about the topic in a structured form and secondly this is a type of general research and it
generally provides results that help in getting the conclusive idea for the research project
(Rearchoptimus, 2019).

Secondary Research Method
Secondary research is carried out from the old researches that are already been done on the topic
of Artificial Intelligence and the contribution of machine technology and AI in the utilization of
these technologies for new innovations. Secondary research will be helpful in gathering
information about the topic that is not known and has been highlighted or conducted in a
different research paper by different researchers. Research papers, journal, books, etc are some
of the methodologies for conducting secondary researches. Different government agencies post
data and surveys regarding the research topics so that is helpful for secondary research (Foley,
2018).
The combination of primary and secondary methods of research that will include the
questionnaire and the literature review is appropriate in conducting the research project.

There are different research approaches for conducting a research project that includes
qualitative approach, quantitative research, deductive approach, abductive approach, an inductive
approach. A quantitative approach and qualitative approaches are appropriate for the conduction
of the research project.
Quantitative Approach
This approach refers to the creation of statistical tables and data for from the4 surveys that are
conducted from the questionnaire or from research results from the previous works that are
conducted regarding the technological advance in the field of machine technology and Artificial
Intelligence. Statistical data are the best way to demonstrate any research and idea and to prove
any point that is important for the research project. The research project on artificial Intelligence
requires data to be presented for showing its growth in the technological field and quantitative
approaches are the most appropriate approach for conducting research for the finding the
contribution of AI and other machine technologies in latest innovations (Bernard, 2017).

Qualitative Approach
Qualitative is the general approach towards any research project it does not involve any
statistical data representation and is based on the research work on the questionnaire and surveys
conducted for getting a social view about people opinion on Artificial Intelligence and machine
technologies. Qualitative data are more helpful for conduction of the research project as it
provides a wide range of data from different sources and is helpful in define the scope of the
project. As the data from qualitative approaches of research are gathered from a wide range of
sources so they need to be grouped according to the common responses for proper analysis.
Qualitative analysis helps in providing in-depth knowledge about the opinion of people about
Artificial Intelligence and machine technologies about their merits and demerits (Aliaga and
Gunderson,2005).
