INTRODUCTION
Artificial intelligence in health and social care utilises algorithms as well as software in
order to determine human cognition in the analysis of complex medical data. The importance of
artificial intelligence in health and social care setting is that it helps medical team in analysing
the relationship between treatment techniques and its effect on patient health. Artificial
intelligence helps in improving efficiency in treatment and enhancing quality of services.
BAXTER Health care Limited. Offers wide range of services as well as products such as
parental nutrition,sterile IV solutions,biosurgery products and other care services.

Background of the study
It is very complex task for heath and social care institutions to determine the way through
which the services can be improved and techniques that can be used for providing satisfaction to
service user. The medical staff in health and care organisation has face difficulty in analysing the
relationship between treatment techniques and its impact on patient health. Many plans as well as
strategies has been developed by the management team in hospital but it was not effective.
Present study emphasizes on exploring the usage of artificial intelligence in to deliver quality
services to patient.
Aims – To explore the use of artificial intelligence to deliver quality services at health and social
care sector- A study of BAXTER Health care Limited.
Objectives :
The objective of investigation are established based on aim of the research. As this objective
will help investigator in collection of reliable facts as well as figures which will be beneficial in
achieving desired outcome. Objective of research are:
To understand the concept and importance of artificial intelligence.
To evaluate the impact of artificial intelligence on quality services of Baxter health care limited.
To identify the relationship between artificial intelligence and quality services in Baxter
healthcare company.
To recommend the strategies to use artificial intelligence in order to deliver quality services at

There are several factors due to which the researcher has selected the topic use of
artificial intelligence to deliver quality services at health and social care. One of the reason is
health and social care institutions are utilising artificial intelligence for enhancing the quality of
service. There are many new technologies that can be implemented by Baxter health care limited
for identifying the needs of service user. Number of heath and social care institutions have
implemented artificial technology at workplace due to which drastic improvement has been
noticed in the quality of services provided by them. All these things motivate individuals to
develop understanding about the concept as well as usage of artificial intelligence.
1.3 Critical review on important references 500
According to the view of Barzilay (2002) The advancement in technology has created
both opportunities as well as challenges for the business to grow. As per the opinion of Brooks
(2001) the importance for research in terms of artificial intelligence is influenced by mainly two
factors these are new fledgling into the artificial intelligence field. Research has been conducted
by organisation in order to develop understanding about the structure as well as usage of
artificial intelligence (Paustenbach,2015) According to the opinion of Barber (2002) new
approaches , models as well as techniques should be developed and published as this will help in
greater understanding. As per the view of McCarthy (1956) states that Artificial intelligence is
contrary from psychological science because it is concerned with computation and is different
from computer science because of it focuses on reasoning ,perception,and action. According to
the Alan Turing (1950)Artificial intelligence techniques is very effective that can be applied in
all medical field.
As per the view of Amber Sinha and Udbhav Tiwari who have stated that artificial intelligence is
not a new technique. According to them the rise in complexities in real world as well as
evolution of new as well as dangerous diseases has forced health care institution to adopt this
techniques. As per the opinion of Margaret A. Boden , artificial intelligence is a creativity which
support health and social care in improving the quality of services as well as improving
effectiveness of treatment (Minor,2017) He also states that artificial intelligence can be used to
create new ideas in three ways: by producing novel combinations of familiar ideas; by exploring
the potential of conceptual spaces and by making transformations that enable the generation of

previously impossible ideas (Henderson and Henderson, PrimeWellnes, 2015) As per the view of
Price water house Coopers who stated that chronic disease as well as serious patient condition
are on the rise worldwide. As per the per the opinion of Frost and Suvillian who assumes that ,
the market for artificial intelligence especially in health and social care has rises. This is not
stunning as the accumulation of multiple Artificial technologies continues to grow. This is the
present trend in the health care industry which fill continue to be developed in the future as well.
As per the view of Deep Artificial intelligence is a computer program that has high potential to
replace human activities. According to him data, faster computers as well advancement in
machine playing a significant role in the development of artificial intelligence. As per the report
provided by Frost and Sullivan the artificial intelligence has high potential to bring positive as
well as drastic improvement in the heath care setting. As per the opinion of Accenture who
interpreted that important clinical health artificial intelligence application can support
organisation in controlling cost and increasing profits (Bandyopadhyay and et.al., 2015.)
1.4 Producing a research project specification 300
Design of the Research-There are several research design that can be used by the researcher for
conducting investigation. Some of research design are Experimental, explanatory, exploratory
and descriptive (Kumar, 2014)In the present study Descriptive research design will be used by
the investigator for conducting the study on topic use of artificial intelligence in health and social
care. As the investigator want to gain depth knowledge about the field. Deep analysis on
effectiveness of Artificial intelligence is required in which descriptive design of research will be
by the analysts.
Investigation approach-Inductive as well as deductive are the two approaches of research. The
case study starts and initiates with the very basic information like concept as well as importance
of artificial intelligence within a health and social care organisation. This is the reason inductive
approach will be used by the researcher for conducting investigation (Hunleth, 2011.)
Research doctrine- Interpretivism and Positivism are the two philosophies which are related to
facilitating investigation on the subject mater. Interpretivism will be used by the researcher for
executing the investigation. Explanation behind taking this belief is that in present study any
kind of scientific techniques and tools are to be included. (Bauer,2014. )

Data collection-There are mainly two sources of data collection these are primary and secondary
source. In the present study , researcher will use both method. Questionnaire and personal
interview will be used for collecting information from medical staff and nurses in BAXTER
Health care Limited. Books , journal, articles will be used as the secondary source of data. In this
questionnaire will be created by the analyst and then will be distributed among participant
through online method (Flick, 2015)
Sampling of data-In present study , simple sampling method will be used. Utilising this
technique 20 medical staff has been selected as participants. Further, among 20 medical staff of
the cited organisation will be given questionnaires in which they have to fill their response.
Data analysis- In this present case, thematic method of data analysis is selected where themes are
made by taking base to the questionnaire created (Parsons,2013)

In the present investigation, the qualitative data analysis method has been used for
conducting the investigation on topic related to the use as well as importance of artificial
intelligence at workplace. This method has been selected as the topic of the research is
theoretical in nature. It will support scholar in reaching to the effective solution. The thematic
analysis has been used as a technique for analysing the data. As this will support researcher in a
organising the data or information in systematic matter. It will also assist them in identifying the

Quantitative : This method is used for statistical analysis are applied on the data set collected for
deriving the conclusion is identified as quantitative evaluation technique. Several tools in
quantitative method will be utilised such as arithmetic mean, mediation , standard deviation etc.
which is not at all will be included in this research study.

Qualitative: The method of evaluation in which all the tools related to the explanation part are
included like thematic etc. Qualitative analysis is used for conducting the research on theoretical
concepts. It does not include numerical figures. In the present study, qualitative method of data
collection is used by the researcher.

Interpretation: it has been identified from the above information about the information that the
employees in a BAXTER Health care Limited are aware about the concept of artificial
intelligence. From the investigation , it has been analysed that out of 20 medical staff 15 that is
50 percent employees have awareness about the artificial intelligence techniques which is
indicates that firm has talented and highly qualified workforce. The team of such talented
workers will play important role in supporting business entity in improving quality of services.

which is not the big issue. As these employees will be provided with training. As this will help
them in getting knowledge about utilisation as well as importance of artificial intelligence.

INTERPRETATION: The information present in the table interpret-ates that there are 13
members those who are working with company for m,ore then 4 years .These workers have
depth knowledge about the field as well as business operations. They have help scholar in
identifying the strength as well as weakness of company. With the support of information
provided by theses worker , researcher has easily able to identify area of improvement. It has
