1. Introduction
Technology is very much needed for the survival of human lives. It has become the
basic need of everyday life. In the recent times, human beings have become greatly
dependent on technological needs (Vicente 2013). Google Duplex is one of the latest
innovations in this era, which has transformed the lives of humans. The technology has being
the most innovative feature of the new Google Assistant. It has a completely automated built
system that would sound calls on the behalf of the users. They would have a completely
natural sounding voice similar to that of humans. The Google Assistant is one such feature,
which has a powerful feature of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which has the capability to act
according to the voice commands of the users (Russell and Norvig 2016).
2. Discussion
2.1 A Brief Introduction to Google Duplex
The Google Duplex, which is an extended feature version of Google Assistant was
initially launched by the Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai. This technology showcases the new
feature of the Google Assistant and was launched during the annual event of Google I/O,
which had taken placed in May.
The feature of Google Duplex is mainly designed in order to help people in order to
have a natural form of conversion with the help of computers. The primary aim of the
technology is to perform real-life tasks with the help of the smartphone (Van Deursen et al.
2015). The virtual assistant of Google would sound perfectly just as a human. The system
makes use of deep neural networks and vast sets of data. Hence, the assistant would be able
to use expressions such as “hmm” and “uh” within the proper places.
According to the CEO of Google, it was confirmed that the technology behind Google
Duplex would be able to represent the several large investments that was made by Google

Google Duplex would be of great use for establishing a strong and healthy relation of humans
with technology. There is a huge opportunity of AI in the recent times and thus Duplex would
be very much beneficial for enhancing the quality of AI. Google has helped in the creation of
a new era for the interaction of humans with machines with their new product. Human
dependency on bots has reduced the interaction capacity of humans. Duplex would be helpful
in dealing with this problem by reacting according to the needs of the user without the direct
need of human voice.

Based on the conclusion from the above discussion, it would be highly recommended
that though Google Duplex is advancing at a very high pace, hence they should also be taking
the matter of privacy in deep concern. Since the Google Assistant has the rights to access the
entire phone hence the level of security within those devices should be increased at a higher
level (Easwara Moorthy and Vu 2015). Duplex could also be a huge support for business for
their growth as businessmen would be highly rely on this technology in order to maintain
their daily records of their business. Duplex could play a major role within the tourism
industry by helping the tourists to discover new places and thus gain a wonderful experience
of their journey.
