Introduction
AI (Artificial Intelligence) is a way to make the computer, or a computer controlled a robot or
any software which thinks intelligently and reduces the efforts of a human being. The computing
report will mainly focus on the AI contribution in the transportation sector for which example of
Tesla automobile industry will be taken. The report will provide an appropriate project plan
through which project scope, time, resources, cost etc. will be analysed. The research will also be
conducted to collect the quality of information on the AI impact, usage and user experience. The
report, in the end, will also provide some recommendations through which improvement in the
transportation sector will be implemented.

LO1 (The project management plan)
P1 Devise project aims and objectives for a chosen scenario
The project is conducted to explore the artificial intelligence impact on the system. The project
and research also explore the usage of artificial intelligence and the experience gain by the users
after using artificial intelligence. The computing project mainly focuses on analysing the major
impacts of artificial intelligence on the transportation sector industry such as- Tesla. The project
identifies the usage of artificial intelligence or software or machine on the growth of Tesla, the
contribution of artificial intelligence on transportation and its future impact on the daily lives of
the people (Russell and Norvig, 2016).
Project aim: The computing project devises aim is to understand the usage and impact of AI on
the environment, brand expansion, technology innovation and daily lives of the people. The
project aim is set to analyse the impact of AI on the transportation sector after new technology
innovation and its impact on the customer’s daily life.
Project objective:
The project objective is to analyze AI as the aid for the environment protection.
Is to identify the key role of AI played for organization such as- Tesla for their brand and
production promotion.
The devise objective is to explore the contribution of AI to the technology innovation
mainly for the transportations sector.
The project objective also focus on identify the future influence of AI on the routine lives
of the people.
The project objective is also related to collect the accurate and reliable information from
the effective research.

P2 Produce a project management plan
Computing project is planned to achieve the set aims and objectives in which all the important
stages of the project plan are covered. The computing project help to identify the project scope,
the time required, budget, resources needed, risk, quality management techniques and
communication process. The project mainly focuses on analyzing the impact and usage of AI on
the transportation sector along with experience gain by users after using AI.
Scope: The computing project scope is wide as it focuses on many aspects of AI that help to
understand the current impact of AI on the transportation sector, environment, business
expansion and daily activities (Nicholas and Steyn, 2017). The success criteria for this project
are to complete the project with limited resources and time and deliver the positive outcome to
attain the project aim and objective.
Cost: Cost cover all the requirements along with investment for this computing AI project. The
project manager and its team estimate all the figures and amount as per the requirement of the
project and research. The estimated budget for this computing project is- £4,000 in which all the
requirements are covered.

Time (schedule): The major requirement of this project is to complete in limited resources and
time so it is important to manage the whole project in a short period. The project manager
estimates that at least 1 month and 15 days require for this project that is 6 weeks in total.
Quality management technique: Quality management technique helps the project manager to
achieve a positive outcome with effective quality (Fleming and Koppelman, 2016). To manage
the project quality they can use- control chart, fishbone diagram and flowchart tools. The chart or
diagram prepared in this technique will help to analyze the area of the problem through which
further action can be planned.
Communication: The communication flexibility is required between the project manager and
team, project manager and external stakeholders, the project manager and respondents. By using
the e-mail, fax, online conferences, internet and mobile phones, the interaction can be done.
Questionnaire survey can be sent on the respondent's e-mail address to save the time, cost and
efforts (Eskerod and Jepsen, 2016).
Resources: Resources are the assets through which project will be initiated for its competition.
For this project limited resources are required such as- computing system, human resource,
financial resources for funds and other technical resources.
Risk: Sometimes uncertain and unplanned events may be observed which becomes threat or risk
during the project such as- scarcity of resources, delay in the project, lack of stakeholders interest
and funding pressure (Heagney, 2016).

Work breakdown structure: WBS explains the major activities for this computing project
along with its sub-activities for different departments. This will help to delegate equal
responsibilities between the employees to manage the time, resources and money. Following is

P4 Carry out small-scale research
Qualitative and quantitative research approaches are used in the computing project to analyze the
AI impact, usage and experience gain by users. The quantitative method provides numerical
information, and qualitative research includes theoretical information about AI. So, mixed
research method helps the researcher to collect both types of information and data to get accurate
and reliable information (Brannen, 2017).
Primary and secondary data collection methods are used to collect the data effectively. With the
help of primary method fresh and new information is collected and with secondary method past
information is collected. For the primary method in quantitative research questionnaire survey
method is used and for secondary research in qualitative research books and journals sources are
used.
Qualitative research for artificial intelligence
AI is the new technology which is used in many sectors and also in the transportation sector so
that new features can be added. As per Russell and Norvig (2016), AI as the technology can be
used in the detection of the environmental condition so that pollution created by the
transportation can be reduced. AI helps transportation industries to use the electric grid for their
renewable technology and that help to protect the environment. As per Sładkowski and Pamuła
(2016), AI introduced many technologies that help organisations to promote their product and
services in the market online chart box through which quires can be collected for improvement
and online marketing for brand promotion.
According to Hussain (2018), AI mainly contributed in the technology innovation for the
transportation sector such as- safety airbags, a navigation system, AC, biometric technology,
fingerprint sensors and Voice recognition. This additional feature in the car models of the
automobile industry will help the customer to make their travelling more comfortable and easy.
Apart from this, AI also helps to improve the user’s experiences by reducing their efforts through
new technology. According to Makridakis (2017), self-driven cars are innovated through AI
which reduces the driving efforts of users and makes their experience useful.
