INTRODUCTION
Air pollution has become the revolution as it is leading towards red alarm and increasing
impact of global warming. The report will evaluate causes and effects of increasing air pollution
which is leading to various life threatening diseases worldwide. Further, the essay will outline
various programmes which are launched to protect and minimize the use of substances and
fossils which are damaging the quality of Air.
MAIN BODY
Air pollution is the key point of discussion at global level. With the increasing impact of
pollution in air it has been determined that there is urgent need of reducing pollution as it is
leading to various climatic and environmental changes. Further, increasing pollution in
environment is heading towards red alarm situation and global warming which is cause of
various turmoil in natural resources. In accordance to environmental changes it has been
determined that the major cause of air pollution worldwide is the burning of fossil fuels which
emit large amount of harmful gases such as sulphur dioxide. Apart from this, it has been
demonstrated that air pollution in urban cities is increasing with the emission of gases from fuels
like, coal, petroleum and many other constituents which are used in factories. People in urban
cities do not bother increasing air pollution as according to them it is not harmful but its has been
analysed that many of the dangerous and life threatening diseases are caused due to increasing
pollution air (Rohde and Muller, 2015). Furthermore, as per the evaluation it has been implied
that 6 % of lung cancer, 11 % of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, 40 % cardiac arrest, 40
% ischaemic heart disease and 3 % of respiratory problems are caused due to increasing Air
pollution.
Air pollution is dangerous because it contains bad molecules which lead to various types
of allergies and infection to not only human beings but to all living beings. In addition, it is
dangerous because it causes harm to food crops and natural environment which has created
revolution across the globe. Besides, it has been identified that poor quality of Air has started
with the beginning of 16th Century and it has become industrial revolution till 19th century due to
the increasing use of fuels like coal and petroleum. It has been demonstrated that fog which is
formed after the burning and processing of coal and petroleum is dangerous emission which has
increased the death rates in almost all urban cities (Lelieveld and et.al., 2015). Moreover, the

increasing vehicles has increased traffic in urban cities which is another major cause of emission
of harmful gases.
In accordance to increasing pollution in air it is important for the world to have control
over the use of harmful substances which are the key driver to air pollution. For instance, it is
important for the Urban society of conserve energy by turning off the power button of electrical
tools after use (Janhäll, 2015.). Further, it is important for the people to make optimum and
efficient use of digital and electrical tools in order to minimize the use of energy and power.
Apart from this, it is important for the urban society to participate in programs of energy
conservation which provides the framework of maintaining and effective utilisation of renewable
and non renewable resources which can establish control over increasing air pollution.
In accordance to World health organisation, it has been stated that air pollution is the
factor which is harming the natural environment where people do not even have safe air to feel
and oxygen to breathe. There are two types of Air pollutants that sis Primary and secondary.
Primary air pollutants are the harmful chemicals which occurs in environment due to natural
human activities like when the products contain it carbon is burnt, it emits large amount of CO2
in atmosphere. The gases and subspaces which directly enter into environmental and causes
damage to biosphere are considered as primary Pollutants. There are 5 dangerous primary
pollutants hydrocarbons (HC), particulates, carbon monoxide (CO) sulphur (SO2) and nitrogen
oxides (NO2). Apparently, secondary air pollutants is the reaction which occur by the chemical
mixture of two or more components. On the other hand, with the increasing air pollution, it has
been determined that sources which are hampering the quality of air have increased till 20th
century and now every brining fuel is the source of increasing pollution in air like, wind, soil
erosion, volcanic eruption, bacterial decomposition, Forest fire, emission of fuel of vehicles,
traffic etc. (Shah and et.al., 2015)

Furthermore, with the increasing air pollution of 16th century specially in urban cities,
the government and various environmental friendly programmers has launched the effective
measures to manage quality of air like, saving energy, use of environmental friendly products
and fuel, panting trees, house planting in order to keep surrounding safe, establishing care at fire
place etc. (10 Ways to Prevent Air Pollution, 2016). However, the most effective measure of
reducing air pollution is to reduce smoking as the smoke which is caused by cigarette contains up
to 70 carcinogenic substances and toxins. Nevertheless, in order to prevent air pollution and to
manage quality of air the government has launched Clean air act it is voluntary partnership
program which aims at protecting public health and environment. The programme helps people
in reducing emission of harmful greenhouse gases, and air pollutants. The EPA programme aims
at saving consumer money, improving efficiency of using energy and reducing oil imports
(Progress Cleaning the Air: Voluntary Partnership Program Accomplishments, 2017). In
addition, there are various partnership programmes like, Climate Protection Partnership
Programs Accomplishments, Smart way Transport Program Accomplishments, Clean Diesel
Grants Accomplishments and many more which are launched to prevent environment and
atmosphere from the emission of harmful gases which are damaging the quality of air.

The environmental protection air quality act 2016 provide a law basis related to the air
quality regulations and management. This act involves the established criteria or standards that
helps government in developing effective business environment for organisations. The
conditions that is being developed according to the act or regulation assist company in improving
business performance and reducing the risk that is emitted by a system of licensing. The
Environment protection act specifiers the regulation of air quality through merging existing
guidelines as well as environment protection policies (Air quality standards & laws, 2016). This
regulation or law is developed by the government or parliament considering the impact of air
quality on living beings. It provides clear guideline about the standards that is adopted by the
environment protection authority for managing the quality of air. This act is formed to regulate
the sales as well as installation of heaters made up of wood and sales of firewood. It provides
organisation an opportunity to reduce the effect on air pollution or other environmental factors
on the quality Of products or services. This act is developed in order to prevent human beings
from the harmful as well as negative effect of air pollution on their health.
CONCLUSION
The essay summarized the impact of air pollution which is damaging the importance of
natural environment and resources. Further, it outlined the various diseases which are increasing
with the increasing impact of Damages air in Atmosphere. Moreover, it evaluates various
sources of air pollution life, forest fire, over consumption of energy, burning of fossil fuels etc.
Thus, the essay concluded by partnership programmes which are enhanced to prevent
environment from pollution of Air.
