AI Summary
This report discusses strategies for improving air quality in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), aligning with the UAE Vision 2021 National Agenda. It highlights two key approaches: a community-focused approach exemplified by the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG), which promotes environmental awareness through education, recycling workshops, and tree planting, and a healthcare facility-focused approach implemented by Ajman's health section, which includes TV shows on indoor air quality and the implementation of excess emission indicators, along with a partnership with Panasonic to provide air purifiers using HEPA technology. The report emphasizes the importance of reducing carbon footprints and addressing respiratory issues through these initiatives, advocating for the involvement of all sectors of society in environmental protection.

Task-1
The Emirates Environmental Group is one of the communities which is based in the United
Arab Emirates. EEG was established in 1991, with the future vision of protecting the
environment. This community mainly focuses on conducting the programs through which an
awareness related to the environment can be generated in the people of UAE. They mainly
focus on survival and environmental development-related education, recycling workshops,
planting more trees and protect global warming. EEG is one of the environmental non-
government professional group in the whole world to get ISO 14001 certified and has
emerged as the leader in environmental protection. EEG has unity all communities for
conservation of environment program, in which it has used education as the main source of
spreading the awareness because they believe that education is one of the best ways to
motivate the people and make them understand the seriousness of the environment protection.
On March 18, 2018, Emirates Environmental Group has conducted a program in which they
united many student communities, professionals for celebrating World Recycling day or also
known as Green Call. The world is aware of six major natural resources: Air, water, oil, coal,
natural gas, and minerals. EEG believes that recycling is one of the best ways to handle the
change in the environment because every product which is being produced adds some portion
of pollution in the air in the form of carbon footprints which is the main reason for problems
like Asthma, respiratory issues and cardiovascular. Hence, EEG believes that it is the duty of
all sectors of the society to get involved in the protection of the environment including the
government (TradeArab, 2018).

Task-2
The health section of Ajman had conducted a campaign related to reducing air pollution. The
campaign included programs structures various activities like TV shows on the importance of
indoor air quality. A study was conducted in which it was found that people of UEA spend
almost 70% of their time in indoor as compared to outdoor. So, it is better to focus on indoor
related air pollution because as people spend most of their time in closed window complexes
so it generates a lot of carbon footprints which simply indicates that air inside a home is five
times more polluted than the air outside the room. Hence, they have taken the initiative under
which excess emission indicators are implemented which will show the red alert if the
emission will exceed the limit count. The healthcare has tied up with Panasonic to provide air
purifier to filter the pollutant particles present in the indoor air. Panasonic uses the
technology known as HEPA which is capable of capturing 0.3um particles up to 99.97 per-
cents along with human activity sensor which sucks air present in the room, then purifies it
and converts the unhealthy particles into water particles by detecting the motion of the human
being and thus prevents from bacteria. This healthcare society is also focusing on reducing
the capacity gas in the UAE because these gases are the main responsible for the problems
related to respiratory issues, hence its presence in large amount has actually supported in
increasing the carbon footprints (Butalla, 2015).
