1. Discuss the relationship between an airport master plan and the environment.
The environment tends to have a great impact while making the master plan for the
airport. In this context, the airport can be seen at the airport for the transportation facility and
even the airport nuisance problem. the noise is considered to the unwanted sound that has a huge
bad effect on the physical, social, psychological and wellbeing of the individual. The noises are
generally generated through engines of the airplanes and during the time of landing and flying

The procedures which must be employed by the planner in order to make an
environmentally sound airport are as follows:
 It must be ensured that only recycled products are being used for the purpose of making
the airport.
 The airport must be customer savy and must be eco-friendly as well. There must be many
terminals at the airport as well.
 High-end flow arrestors must be utilized for the purpose of saving water. It will help in
the conservation of water (de Castro Carvalho et al., 2013). The cooling and heating must
run through geothermal energy. While planning the airport, only green resources must be
utilized (Lyster, 2013).
 In order to save energy, the airport must be planned as such which tends to take the
power from solar energy.
7. Explain the physics and measurements of airport noise and how planners mitigate its
