1AIRPORT INNOVATION
Instant Flight Booking System:
In the current situation there are various of innovations that are happening in the Airports
so that travelling becomes easy for the passengers. Due to this innovations passengers are
gaining various of advantages and this innovations are also becoming beneficial for the airline
organizations also. In recent years various of innovations has been done in the airline industry
which includes Bag Tag systems, Robotics assistances, Biometric Identity Verification and many
more other things. Though there are various of various of innovations has been done in the recent
years, none of them has addresses properly the flight miss cases. People faces cancellations of
their prescheduled trains which is also same for the airplanes also (Lu et al. 2017). For the trains
peoples are able catch the next train going at the same destination but is not the same for
airplanes. If anyone plane cancellations then they need to book it again and cost of instant
booking is very much higher than it actually cost. This issue in the airline sector needs to be
solved as many of the passengers goes through this issue any for that they need to suffer a lot. In
most of the cases airlines cancels their scheduled flights due to the bad weather. Thus in this case
an innovations can be done so that the currently raised issues can be solved. In this aspect the
innovation that the airports currently missing is the instant flight booking system so that each and
every passengers can reach to their destinations without facing any type of issues.
Mobile App for Instant Flight Booking:
To solve this issue an intelligent system can be created which will be tracking the current
flight departures from a particular airport and it will be also tracking the available seats on those
flights. By having this system free seats can be identified and those seats can be allocated to the
immediate passengers of whom flight got cancelled due to some random reason (Hussain and
Fitria 2018). But this data also needs to be provided to the passengers so that they can choose

from those available options. Most of the peoples uses mobile phone in nowadays so
implementing a mobile application will be best in this case. The targeted mobile application will
be operational at the smartphone of the passengers and it will be tracking the airlines and the
seating details of them. For fetching the seating details of the airlines the mobile application will
directly connect to the intelligent system so that available seats can be tracked in real-time. Also,
the frequent flyers will be benefitted from this type of system. The passengers who needs to
travel urgently to some location will also get benefit from it (Kock, Josiassen and Wilke 2018)
but the specific service of urgent travelling will be only available for the domestic travels as
international travelling requires various of formalities which cannot be done in the short period
of time.
Benefits of the Instant Flight Booking System:
While this type of innovation is implemented within the airports there are certain benefits
regarding it both for the airline organizations and the passengers. In the following section these
benefits are addressed.
First of all the frequent flyers will be heavily benefit from this service. They will be able
to get their flights instantly if they are lucky enough. Also, they will get their flights at
very low cost.
The travelers who suffers due to flight cancellation issue will also benefit in this case as
they will be able to get the flights which are having available seats. No extra charges will
be required in this case.
Also, the rescheduling time will be saved for the passengers in case of flight cancellation
due to bad weather as they will be get the flights instantly of the same routes if seats are
available (Suki and Suki 2017).

Airline organization will be also benefitted due to this as the chances of 100% seat
occupation will be increased greatly.
Due to increased seat occupation revenue of the airline organization will also increase.
Due to this reasons the targeted innovation will be greatly improve the airline service. In this
case though both of the frequent flyers and passengers of whom flight got cancelled will get the
service but the passengers of whom flight got cancelled will get higher priority.
