The first clinical VIVA with the teacher was impressive, I was sick, but I have learned a lot
of new things and changed the way that I looks for the things form a staff nurse to a manager has
to think one step early before his staff. Despite being sick, I performed well in VIVA and this
was possible because of my strong communication skill with the help of which I listened
carefully to what teacher was asking and answer in clear tone with right information. My teacher
provided me additional materials related to my professional discipline so to build a great career.
I learned about technical excellence, where we meet head of quality department, she
explains about quality improvement plans of al Nahdah Hospital and how it impacts positively in
the quality of care and patient satisfaction. While working in the hospital, I learned that technical
excellence is significant for ensuring compatibility addition to interoperability for achieving
goals. It fostered my potentiality for foreseeing together with eliminating issue prior it has
potential for jeopardising schedule, quality, budget and satisfaction of patients. Also we have a
meeting with head of staff development and career guidance, she elaborated more about different
courses they provide, the challenges they have during COVID pandemic, and the staff
development plan.
Competency no 9 (cultural competence) where I have learned more about the impact of
cultural diversity in the workplace, the importance to accept and deal with different cultural
diversity, and how to promote and jet benefits from cultural diversity. Within the competency, I
learned to deliver effectively, deliver personalised healthcare in form of quality of services to
patients having diverse attitudes, behaviours as well as values. The competence required tailoring
healthcare delivery in order to meet linguistic, social addition to cultural needs associated with
patients.
SUMMARY
The hospital was friendly, and staff too. In Al Nahdah Hospital, my experience for fighting
time and submitting competencies along with 2 VIVA per week enhanced my knowledge and
skill set for carrying out responsibilities as nurse. This experience helps me to learn how to
convert my time from worker life return back to student life. We try to meet other departments
we make a request but unfuorantly not replay. We request some information and document
which need to accomplish the clinical competencies but the top authority refused and some
departments refused because its confidential, They have a lot of missed documentation and
policies un-updated where they have to update. my recommendation is to have more than one
