Consumption of different kinds of alcohol has varied forms of emotion on a person. Deaths
related to alcohol are occurring at an alarming rate at the global level of 3.3 million as
reported by the World Health Organization. The impact of alcohol on mood also varies to a
large extent. It further implies that alcohol may have positive or negative influence over a
person as far as emotions are concerned. The main reason for drinking alcohol is to enhance
positivity and reduce negativity to a considerable extent. In Canada, Sweden and the United
States of America, it is perceived that alcohol consumption implies the rejuvenation of a
person thereby leading to the reduction of stress and fatigue to a massive level. It also helps
in the enhancement of social integration of a person. However, there are negative emotions
also in terms of alcohol consumption (Hobden et al., 2017). Such emotions mainly imply
anxiety, depression and other related kinds of mental health disorders. Consumption of
alcohol may also result in aggressive behavior thereby leading to acting of a person in an
irrational manner. As reported by the Global Drug Survey, different kinds of alcohol have
carried types of influences as far as the positive and negative emotions are concerned. It is
further implied from such kind of a report that drinking spirits results in aggressive behavior
in comparison to wines and beers. The report also states that red wine and beer help in the
relaxation of a person to a huge extent. The target population as per the survey comprised
mainly of youth. The report also implies that emotional aspect to different kinds of alcohol
also varies in terms of gender thereby implying that men and women display different kinds
of emotions with regard to the kind of alcohol concerned.
