INTRODUCTION
Globalisation means exchange of goods or services across the international boundaries
for generating maximum revenue of an organization.ALDI is one of the retail organizations
which is having number of branches in distinct continents and still wanted to expand their
business more or more (Dahanand et. al., 2010). This association offers necessary products to the
desired consumers such as; grocery items, clothes, food sources etc. Therefore, now company is
planning to open their store in China also, as currently it has only online presence in China.
Thus, this assignment is going to highlight the main aims and objectives of an organization as
well as throw lights on project management plan of ALDI with the help of several elements.
Furthermore, correct recommendation is also outlined in the project on the basis of data analysis.
TASK 1
P1 Aims and objectives
Globalisation is a term which enforces an organization to expand their business across
distinct global platform by fulfilling the needs of distinct end users. Basically, numbers of
companies are come up with new ideas and unique products for introducing at global platform
because of several reasons such as; to gain extra profit, to expand their business and many more.
ALDI is a most successful firm in retail industry ,it has almost 10,000 stores across 20 nations.
However, company is engaged in offering grocery items and fulfil all the basic needs of domestic
as well as foreign customers. Therefore, now company is aiming to expand their business into
China and planning to open their physical stores across China market for maintaining their
existence(Loch, DeMeyerand Pich, 2011). Hence, main aim and objective of ALDI is detailed as
follows-
Aim- To identify the impact of globalisation on sales performance and profit level of an
organization- A case study on ALDI” .
Objectives-
To identify the concept of globalisation.
To determine the need of globalisation for ALDI.
To ascertain the influence of globalisation on profit level ofALDI.
To analyse the relationship between globalisation and sales performance of an
organization.

P2 Project Management plan
ALDI is having a very broad network by having its branches in distinct nations and know
about the technique of establishing business at new marketplace. Although managers of ALDI
are fully aware about the expansion process but still it is essential to consider necessary elements
such as; time, scope, cost, resource, risk, communication and quality(Keil, Leeand Deng, 2013).
All these factors help an association in managing entire plan of ALDI in expanding their
business in China and controlling possibilities of uncertainty, failure of certain plan. Therefore,
an effective project management plan is discussed as follows-
Scope- First or foremost element of project management is that company needs to be
clear about their scope for moving towards their set targets and direct staff members about their
limitation while performing their assigned job in order to control chances of mistakes. Basically,
this plan is having a very broad scope because company wanted to expand their business into
Chinese market which is a very successful marketplace and accepted by most of the domestic as
well as foreign consumers (Zikmundand et. al., 2013).
Time- Duration also plays a very crucial in managing plan because this help in assisting
staff members about their completion of assigned job role. As a result, they get motivated
towards given job role and try to perform all the activities in better manner by satisfying client’s
needs. Time boundation helps employees to manage their work in corrective ways so that they
can perform accordingly.
Cost- Capital is seen as backbone for every enterprise because all the activities are based
on them only and company needs to have maximum amount of funds for completing their
business operations in defined time. Basically, reason behind expansion of business is to gain
profit as association wanted to raise their revenue by gaining competitive advantage and trying to
establish their brand image at various marketplace. Thus, overall budget of ALDI for this plan is
almost 9000 GBP which is going too classified into various activities such as; marketing,
operational, employees and various miscellaneous expenses(Meskendahl, 2010).

ALDI spends large amount of funds on managing their resources and stocks for achieving set

Risk- Business is full of uncertainty which means that anything can happen at any time
without indication. Due to which it is essential for ALDI to be prepare for several types of
business risk such as; occurrence of any disaster like changes in consumer choice, emergence of
major competitors, quitting of employees and many more. As a result, company needs to make
plans for risky situation and learn how to handle complex circumstances.
Communication- Effective interaction is necessary between staff members because this
will help in maintaining positive relations with them. As a result, company get succeeded in
attaining their set targets in a defined time frame. Along with this, communication maintains
cooperative environment at workplace which helps an association in reducing probabilities of
conflicting situations (Seddon, Calvertand Yang, 2010).
Quality- Now-a-days consumers are becoming too much qualitative oriented which
enforce an organization to be serious towards their product quality while making final products.
However, Chinese people always love to experience new things but it must be qualitative item. It

means, ALDI needs to analyse the quality of overall plan and product before launching this plan
at marketplace for minimizing the possibilities of heavy loss (Globalisation and Economic

P3 Gantt chart and Breakdown structure
Breakdown structure is a term which means classification of roles and responsibilities
between various staff members in order to accomplish various business activities in better
manner. In fact, it helps in reducing probabilities of mistakes and completes large number of
work in a minimum time period. However, ALDI always distribute their job role into various
business branches for generating high level of revenue by satisfying consumer needs and
demands in a defined time frame. On the other hand, Gantt chart is a diagrammatic
representation which sub-divides the activities through which an organization can display
various job roles of distinct members for making them understand about their task. Basically,
choices of Chinese people fluctuate because of their customs or religion. Therefore, each and
every member of ALDI who is involved in expansion of ALDI in china requires too aware about
the Chinese people for understanding them in better way. As a result, this will help in attaining
set targets and goals in a defined time frame by satisfying consumer needs and demand. Hence,
breakdown structure and Gantt chart is used by company for attaining set targets in a minimum

Therefore, ALDI needs to accumulate relevant data and information about the region with the
help of various methods such as; Primary, Secondary, Qualitative and Quantitative. Some of the
essential tools of collecting data are discussed as follows-
Primary- This method is also known as first hand data collection technique because data
collected under this method are going to use for a first time. Due to which, all the information of
primary tools are very much specific and . In fact, various tools are falls under primary method
such as; questionnaire, interview, observation and many more. All these techniques are useful for
ALDI in understanding views and opinions of distinct consumers before launching any new
product at new marketplace(Anantatmulaand Thomas, 2010).
Secondary – This technique is also considered as second hand because information
accumulated with the use of these tools are going to use for second time. But somehow
secondary method is useful in several situations such as; ALDI can follow various advertisement
techniques like social media which is already using by various other competitors. Therefore,
numbers of tools are falls under this method such as; literature, novels, previous accounts of
company, newspapers, and magazines and so on.

Quantitative- This tool helps in collecting numerical data or statistical information such

Along with this, must hire skilled or experienced person who is having experience about
this in order to minimize the probabilities of heavy loss or mistake.
Analyse the market internally and externally for controlling risk factor which
automatically influence the profit level of an organization.

Globalisation is not a simple concept because there is exchange of goods or services
across distinct regions in order to generate maximum range of revenue through a long process.
Thus, I have faced various issues which automatically influence my objectives and create
problem also in several manner during business expansion. Throughout the project, I came to
know that choices of people are differ from each other because of several factors such as;
culture, beliefs, norms, rules and regulations of country. However, expansion of business
requires experience and talent about various fields because large numbers of competitors
areavailable at marketplace which create problem for me for attaining my set targets. I have
faced number of problems and issues such as; time management and sometime lack of funds act
as an obstacle in the success path. But still I have tried my best and manage things with the help
of several supporters which resultant in attainment of set objectives in a defined time frame.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it has been summarized that management of successful project is
gone through various issues and problems because all the factors are interlinked with each other
in several ways. Thus, it has been understood that company needs to consider necessary factors
