AI Summary
This dissertation chapter focuses on the methodology employed to investigate the existence of aliens. It begins with an introduction highlighting the ongoing debate and arguments surrounding the topic. The chapter then delves into the research methodology, differentiating between qualitative and quantitative methods and justifying the chosen approach. It discusses the importance of both qualitative and quantitative methods in data collection and analysis, as well as potential problems encountered during research, such as ethical considerations, participant selection, and health and safety concerns. The chapter emphasizes the use of research sources, including primary sources like questionnaires and interviews, and secondary sources like books and journals. It also highlights the significance of ethical practices in research and the recognized Harvard referencing system. Furthermore, the chapter presents a sample questionnaire and extracts findings from a survey conducted on 20 people. Finally, it provides constructive feedback on ethical hacking practices and concludes by summarizing the key aspects of the research methodology and referencing the sources used.

INTRODUCTION
Many arguments are made in relation to 'Does Aliens exist'. There is a statement where it
is said that aliens do exist. There are many cases where arguments are made and it is identified
that there is an existence of aliens (Mackey and Gass, 2015).
TASK 1
1.1 Research Methodology
Method is simple research tool where qualitative (like Interview/questionaire) and
quantitative methods are used to gather relevant data of research. These methods change
according to source of information. Whereas methodology provides principles that guideline for
research practice. It covers different methods that are used to conduct research like Data
collection, sampling, research design, research approaches, sampling etc.
Ethnographic study came out from ethnographic research. It is a qualitative method and
in this investigator, devote themselves in lives, culture and situation. It is generally a lengthy
study.
Scientific experiment is detailed process to accept and reject hypothesis. This is third
step in scientific method (Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault, 2015).
Hypothesis is the explanation of event which is specific. It shows what will happen in
certain situation. This is used in experiment that define relationship among two variables.
TASK 2
1.2 Justification of research methodology
Methodology is one of the important term to collect the relevant data so that research can
be done in proper manner. There are different methods that are used in this regard like Research
design, Research approach, Philosophy, Data collection, Sampling, Data analysis. These ways
are used so that complete and relevant data related to present study can be collected. In this data
is analysed so that it can be more effective as per the research.
1.3 Importance of Qualitative and Quantitative method
Qualitative method-

It is important way to collect data of study. In this, some people are interviewed and
information is gathered from them, after that observation is made upon individual’s responses. It
is most relevant method to gather correct data.
Quantitative method-
This method is best suitable where comparison of present data to past is required to be
made. In this way, data is collected in numeric values so that it can be compared with past data
and future prediction can be made (Kirkova and et. al., 2011).
1.4 Problems in research Ethical consideration: It is required that research should be ethical that fulfil all the
norms and standards of research. Due to some regulation, it becomes hard for the
investigator to collect data in proper manner. Number of participant: It is important to cover right people on which research can be
conducted. It helps to collect the data and in identification of problem. Sometime, it
creates issue like there is uncertainty that how many individuals are to be chosen.
Health and safety: It is important for researcher to gather data in a way that do not create
hazard to the life of others as well as to environment. Due to these precaution, it creates
barriers in the research (Williams, 2011).
2.1 Use of research sources
Different ways are used to conduct the research so that best suitable information can be
gathered. There are two methods to collect information like Primary and Secondary sources.
This is important for the researcher to make the identification that which method is most suitable
for the present study. In primary research data is collected through Questionnaire, Interview,
Case study and in secondary, information is gathered through Books, Journals and Internet
articles.
2.2 Importance of Primary Sources
Primary sources are most important and are used at large. It is relevant method because
the data that is collected through Questionnaire and Interviews are most relevant to present
research. This is an effective way to gather information which is required for future study and to
identify the key issues and problems that are being faced by people related to the services. It is

also effective because in this, personal interaction takes place and there are least chances of
disclosing data in public.
3.2 Role of Ethics
Ethics play very important role in research. It is required for the researcher to follow all
the ethical standards, rules and norms while conducting research so that information can be
collected in best way. There are different methods used to gather data so it is important to use it
effectively without creating any hurdles to the others (Flood, 2010).
TASK 3
2.3 Recognised System of referencing
Harvard is the most suitable way of referencing. It is used to present the sources of
information from which data is collected. There are two types of citation used in this regard as
In-text citation and Reference list.
The book, paper and webpage are referred according to the information which is best
suitable to the present study. There are different sources from where information can be
gathered. Such sources provide relevant information so that study can be conducted in best
manner. This referencing style shows the sources from where data is collected (Cecez-
Kecmanovic, 2011).

It is identified that BBC channel is effective in providing information to people at first so
that they can resolve the problems that are faced society in this regard.
TASK 5
4.2 Constructive Feedback Black hat hackers have vast knowledge about hacking and to bypass security protocols.
They are accountable to compose malware. White hat hackers are those who use their power for good, not evil. They are also known
as ethical hackers. They pay money to employees who handle security holes of the
company. Grey hat hackers are those with black and white hacking activities. They look for
exposure without owner's permission (Mackenzie and et. al., 2012).
Advice
It is required for the students to consider white hacking because it is ethical in manner. In
this, hackers use the power in good way, not evil. This is suitable to students to hack the college.
CONCLUSION
As per above study it can be concluded that there are different research methodologies
that are considered by researcher so that they can collect best information about the present
study. It is required to use it in effective way so that it can't cause harm to others.
