As the bank has already a contract with CSC Group to issue all kind off payment cards, we have
agreed to add the instant issuance option to our agreement under a flat amount of USD 8,000
for a package of 500 Cards.
2- Printer Selection:
The Printer is the most important item that should be carefully selected to satisfy our needs,
since there is various type of production, speeds, options and features:
The minimum requirements of the printer are:
-Printer Technology (DTC): direct-to-card Technology heats each panel of the ribbon to
convert the ink into vapor, which then diffuses onto the surface of the card.
- Double-sided printing: Printer can print on both sides in one pass. it is extremely useful for
creating cards with photo identification on one side and a barcode or other information (rules,
schedule, or contact info) on the rear.
- Encoding: One of the simplest ways to improve our security is through the use of encoded
cards.
-Lamination: Laminators can also provide some added security by allowing us to add
holographic patches to the cards.
-Compact and light design to facilitate transport and packaging.
-The provider has to offers in-house training and support so that we have easy access to expert
advice if needed.

Instant issuance means that: the card is issued and activated on the spot and can be used there
and then enabling the Bank to get easily new customers. It can also be used for emergency card
replacement, giving existing customers the peace of mind that they can continue with their daily
life, even after their card has been lost or stolen.
Instant issuance solutions all have the similar high level architecture in which data generation
and personalization are undertaken at two locations; data generation is processed in the Head
Office Data center and personalization is undertaken at the site of issuance.

Connectivity

Connectivity is one of the most important elements of instant issuance. Implementing instant issuance
services requires the establishment of a high speed, secure and stable connection between the site of
issuance and the Data Center in the Head Office.
Site installations
This is a highly specific part of our project. It is necessary to define all reports and traceability
information necessary for the management and monitoring (these will include stock reports, production
daily report and so forth). The main issue is to keep all operations and architecture at the point of
issuance as simple and light as possible. Centralization of all data preparation and management is critical
in order to reduce the complexity of instant issuance program.
Security
We have to ensure that the processing of our Credit card issuance workflow is totally secured. And
to check that our service provider is PCI-compliant and find out about their policies in the event of a
breach—how will they protect us and our customers.
-Implementation
1. Overview
The decision to invest in an instant issuance solution to university students should be considered as a
global change that is undertaken to support our business strategy for optimizing cardholder experience.
To achieve a compelling service delivery to end customers. We should investigate a suitable software or
hardware solution and consider the right operational process to ensure every actor plays in harmony
both centrally and in the production site.
2. Implementation and site deployment
A typical instant card issuance process begins with the customer’s data enrolment, incorporating a PIN
code selected by the cardholder. System will permit (or deny in case of existing sanctions) the opening
of the new account in real-time and generate the magnetic stripe or embossing data. The instant
issuance solution then receives a request for card creation (cardholder data) and runs the data
generation phase for the requested card product.
The software application must be secured to allow access solely to authorized users and come with an
intuitive user interface that contains a minimum set of features to manage the card personalization; an
easy user interface facilitates the handling of the application for non-technical people.
Additional features may be requested to leverage the service delivered to end-customers, such as a PIN
management feature which allows the cardholder to choose their own PIN code.
