INTRODUCTION
Organizational change is the process of transforming business policies, structure,
strategies, technological changes for betterment in the future (Lozano, Nummert and
Ceulemans, 2016). Present study will be based upon Alshaya company. It deals in retail sector
that include brands like H&M, Debenhams etc.
Report will include pestle and swot analysis that influence organization and ways that
impact working of company in the future due to change. It also include factors that are involved
in change process and different approaches used in managing change. Furthermore, it will
include behavioural responses and role of HR in organization change.

Various causes that lead to affect functioning of business are as follows:
Political Factors
This include various laws that will have greater impact on business operation such as
implementation of policies by government. These laws are applicable and cause effect in the
organization that affect working of it and may affect changes that are done for increasing
effectiveness of working for the future. For example: Alshaya's political stability will get
disturbed due to changes in government policy that affect operations of business in the future.
Economical Factors
Changes in exchanges rates, inflation rates, interest rates that affect economic condition
of organization as it become difficult for doing export and import from other countries due to
which business will affect in the future (Lozano, Ceulemans and Seatter, 2015). As this factor is
having long term impact on organization that affect purchasing power of consumers in the
economy. For example:- Due to changes in the exchange rate that affect export and import of

operations.For example: As it is covering larger part in business so that will help in increasing

important that leadership will be strong in business that help in taking strategic decision in the
company for the future.
Building strong team that help in achieving success:- Alshaya is having strong team that help
in managing changes in the company and provide greater opportunities. It is important in
providing various perspective that will help in achieving common goal of a team. Every team
member will be aware of change that is taken place in Alshaya is enhancing best opportunities.
It is also important that right people will be there in particular team that is managed by leader of
team and provide effectiveness in working of the organization. For example:- It is also important

Employee engagement and participation:- It is necessary that very employee feel safe and
secure and not feeling alone in the company so for that it is necessary for organizing employee
engagement activity that help in building healthy relation between employees and they are easily

every member of the company so sometimes it become difficult to accept change in the
organization. It is an important activity that enhance future growth in business. Various
perspective that help in creating different changes in the organization. For example: Employee
engagement help in enhancing communication and easy interaction between people that help in
actual participation of employees in business activities that is being organized into Alshaya.
Clear Vision:- In Alshaya there is clear vision of employees that they have to achieve objective

Facilitation and support:- It is important in facilitating various aspect that help in indulging
into different activity of business. Proper facilitation and support encourage employee to do
work effectively and efficiently. If employees are supporting each other in the company this help

do not provide proper support in Alshaya it affect business operations.

According to Ackerman there are three main approaches which can help organization in
managing change in the organization namely developmental, transitional and transformational
approach.

employee in the organization. By adopting this approach Alshaya employee development will be

For making the report I have taken the help of the Observation learning process as the data and
the information which was gather was gather by observing different factor. This report has also
helped me in understanding the significance of changing HR and L&D role as I was not having
the idea that there are as many aspect of the same. This module has helped me in building the
learning about the topic and also helped me building my interpretation and the analysis skill.
