Functions of organisation play important role in the growth and profitability of the
company (Chaudhry, and et. Al. 2019). These functions play significant role in the arrangement
of business in the competitive market. This report is based on Amazon, company is multinational
technology firm based in Seattle Washington. All the functions of the company helps its business
in better growth and profitability in the competitive market.
Define the role of Marketing, Finance, Operations and Human Resources department of the
organisations.
Various functions of in the business of Amazon assist business towards the achievement
of goals and objectives and growth in the market. Below is role of various function of respective
brand is explained.
Marketing: This department of Amazon play vital role in promotion of various product
and services in the market . The main role this function play is reaching to the target customers,
prospects, investors and the community of business.
Finance: The main role finance function play in the Amazon is assess the required needs
of funds needed by the various function of the company (Hasan, and et. Al. 2019). Total
requirements of the funds can be fulfil by the various resources in the business. Resources could
be long term or short term.
Operations: This function of Amazon ensures that they bring all the raw materials with
the production process in order to make product according to the needs and wants of the
organisation(Kang, Diao, and Zanini, 2020). It assist company towards the strategy that can help
in achieving effective productivity with cost savings.
HRM: This function of Amazon play vital role in employee engagement and training.
HR function helps employee to increase their morals and proficiency within the work place.

All the function of the Amazon play significant role in the management and effectiveness
of the business in the market. Below is explanation of how all this function work together and
increase proficiency of the business.
Marketing and HR: Human resource and marketing is two major function of the
company that helps in its growth (Sarvaiya, Arrowsmith, and Eweje, 2019). Marketing
department helps business to get effective sale and profit, while human resource are the

resource function helps in hiring appropriate candidates for the jobs so that they can increase
effectiveness of market image of the business.
Finance and operations: These functions of the organisation ensure the growth and
stability of the business (Cascio, 2019). Finance department ensure that they provide all the
funding required in operation of the company. Whereas operations of the Amazon ensure that
they provide effective productivity of the product so that company can gain more profit and
generate more funds in the business.
Thus, interlink between all the department of the company helps in better growth and
gain of profitability in the business.

From the above information it can be conclude that all the functions of the company
assist its better growth and proficiency in the market. Also interlink between the all the
