INTRODUCTION
Business environment is the combination of internal and external factor that effect a
company's operating system. It can includes different factors such as suppliers and clients, its
owners and competitions, enhancement in technology, government activities and laws and
market, economic and social trends (Kaplan and et. al., 2011). In individual report, given
organisation is Amazon, it is a online shopping industry in United kingdom. This report divided
into some parts which cover Management model and its application to the company. Different
issues related to the CSR, team benefits and challenges are also includes in this assignment that
effects on the business performance and productivity directly.
MANAGEMENT MODEL
Competing values framework is a management model, it is also known as a Rohrbaugh,
Quinn theory that was developed in 1983. it mainly based on statistical evaluation of a
comprehensive indicators that discovered two main dimensions highlighting conceptions of
effectiveness. The first dimension is mainly related to organisational emphasis, from an internal
focus on the development and well-being of people in the business to an external emphasis on
the development and well-being of the organisational itself. On the other hand, secondary
dimension distinguish organisational preference for represents and structure the contrast between
flexibility and change and stability and control.
Key Principles: Competing values framework includes four principles which are follow by the
Amazon are determined as below:
Human Relation Model: This framework places an effective deal on focuses on internal
emphasis, flexibility, morale, stresses cohesion and human resource development as part for
effectiveness (Bloch, Pigneur and Segev, 2016).
Open system Model: It emphasizes external focus and flexibility and growth, stress
readiness, resource acquisitions and many other external support.
Rational Goal model: It emphasizes an external focus and control, an goal setting, views
planning, efficiency and productivity as effective.
Internal process model: It emphasizes internal focus and control and stress the duty of
information management, stability, communication and control.

in order to analysis business environment. In this company mainly focus on total flexibility to
total control and internal maintenance to external positioning (Parasuraman, 2012). Thus it
support and benefited to the organisation to keep their strong and long term position at

requirement, this helps to perform business operations in appropriate way.
In Competing values framework open system, helps Amazon to accept changes which are
significant for growth. Resources has to be used in effective and efficient way.
Rational Goal model helps managers of Amazon to perform business operations in
appropriate way through proper planning, production, goal achieving, etc.
There is requirement of some external parties to perform business in more effective way.
So human relations model helps to make odd relations with internal as well as external
parties (Herrmann and Herrmann-Nehdi, 2015).

CSR activity is one of the important component which are very famous these days and
important to be performed (Wigley, 2018). There is requirement of proper CSR activity which
help to make good image in market and take actions as per government norms. Some of the CSR
issues are as under-
Technical problems- There are many changes which are taking place in industry, so it is
essential to work according to knowledge and requirement of market. There are many changes
which are important for performing business operations in significant way.
Unhappy employees- In Amazon employees are not satisfied because of various reasons.
There is improper training methods so employees are not able to work under changed
environment. Managers of Amazon must use some measures through which they can enhance
knowledge of employees, this helps to perform business activities in proper way.
Employees turnover rate- Turnover rate of employees is more in Amazon. This is
effective because they do not get satisfaction to employees. It is essential to know activities
which are efficient for retain employees (Yoon, Gürhan‐Canli and Schwarz, 2016).

Amazon is a big brand, which works at international level. There are various countries in
which this association operates, so it is essential to work according to market trends. There are
various departments which work in group to achieve targets on time.

Team work is effective for important component which helps to work in effective way. It
is essential that company has to make changes roles and responsibilities as per their
qualities (Decuyper, Dochy and Van den Bossche, 2010).
Team work helps to increase competition and quality of services gets improved. Team work helps to create harmony among superiors and subordinates. This helps to
increase goodwill of Amazon.
