The present report is about how COVID-19 affect Amazon. It is an American multinational
technology company that emphasis on cloud computing, e-commerce, artificial intelligence and
so on.

How COVID-19 affected the amazon
The pandemic has up ending many business across the world, but it has been very good for
Amazon. It is one of the few companies that have benefited from the pandemic and add present it
has reported net income of $ 5.2 billion, Which is double of the amount it has made last year. It
is determined that Amazon has responded to the sudden enhancement in grocery delivery
demand by raising its capacity by over 150%. It is also increased its grocery pickup locations as
people did not prefer to go outside and purchase grocery and essential items due to the fear of
pandemic (Lorimer, 2018). The number of Prime Video viewership is also getting doubled as
people prefer to watch series, movies and other entertainment for spending their time at home.
Amazon has seen unprecedented demand during this pandemic, and it has responded by
recruiting another one like 75,000 delivery workers. Is analyzed at the number of online
subscribers off Amazon has increased rapidly as it provides all kinds of products as well as
services which is essential for a human being. In addition to this, it also provide one day delivery
to its customers who have their prime membership, this attract large number of people to buy its
products and consume services. In the era of COVID-19, that risk might manifest itself as an
outbreak in one of its warehouse, which leads to employees protest, negative press and customer
backlash. In addition to this, the organization lighting road in politics and its labour practices
have come under scrutiny several times before. The organization take extra steps in order to
ensure the safety of its time members which is a smart move, as it will assist not only in
improving relationship with employees and stakeholders but also make company an Example of
corporate responsibility at the time of pandemic (Gaynor and Wilson, 2020). The respective
organizations state that it has taken various efforts in order to protect its employees during the
COVID-19 outbreak. It has implemented more than 150 process change in order to support
employ teams that involves existing time off, providing gloves, mask and temperature check
facility, increasing periods and other safety measures at the time of providing shipping facilities

to its customers. It also ensured that it’s product are sanitized properly and is delivered with
adopting safety measures (Dwivedi, 2020). The organization has also enhanced it's whole food
grocery pick up from 80 stores two 150 stores by analysing the demand in the market. Amazon is
now valued by the stock market at $ 1.5 trillion, which dwarfs the gross domestic product of
Saudi Arabia. The one thing which has made Amazon so successful at this pandemic is its size as
well as many layers of its business, that has given so much leverage over workers, sellers and
government.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it has been concluded that due to this pandemic, the sales of
Amazon has risen and it emerge stronger than ever.
