INTRODUCTION
Innovation play an important role in development of a business by increasing its unique
selling preposition (Arrese, 2016). The innovation also includes development of new product
and services which are innovative and increases strength of a business. In the era of stiff
competition between national and international companies, it is important to focus on innovation
to develop competitive advantage. Innovation is considered as key business function which helps
in overall development of a company. This report includes example of Amazon company which
was founded in the year 1994. Amazon is a multinational e-commerce company and its
headquarters are based in Washington, United States of America. This report includes
development of an innovative idea for Amazon company to increase profitability and revenue at
the marketplace. This project includes application of different theories and models of innovation
which play a key role in business development. In this report, the innovation based idea for
Amazon company is using drones to deliver products.

in order to move ahead of its competitors. The innovation idea chosen for this project is “use of
drones for products delivery”.

innovation which will be beneficial for Amazon to implement innovation based practices are
mentioned below:
