The student used AChecker to identify issues, such as missing elements and technical faults, and performed a sample task of buying a PS4 on each website. The analysis reveals differences in return policies and mobile-friendliness. Recommendations include improving website navigation, adding voice guidance, enhancing mobile compatibility, and incorporating a clear value proposition. The project also discusses localization and globalization factors affecting the websites, concluding that while both sites are popular, significant improvements are needed to enhance the customer experience and address accessibility concerns. ANALYSIS OF WEBSITES
Transcript of PowerPoint presentation
I have come here today for presenting my presentation of analysis of the Amazon and
eBay websites and provide some recommendations to the website. In the 1st slide,
introduction has been provided where it has been claimed that the Websites are presently
being introduced in major companies for reaching the customers who cannot physically buy
products, Achecker has been used for determining the issues and features of the websites and
a sample task has been conducted for determining the usability of the websites for the users.
In the 2nd slide and 3rd slide, a brief comparison of Amazon and eBay websites has been
executed. It could be observed that Amazon.com is considered as the largest retailer in the
world as well as a prominent provider of cloud services and it provides the option of online
payment that is used by several customers when it is being shipped abroad. eBay is the
website that provides the functionality similar to Amazon where people can purchase and sell
goods as well as provides the features of auction that helps in placing the appropriate value
for the products which could be bought by any other user. In 5th slide, the summary of the
AChecker’s findings has been provided. It could be concluded that In the Amazon website
there are 24 known problems, 14 likely problems and 1073 potential problems and there are
several elements missing from the website that makes the website crash during sale period. In
the eBay website, Label text is empty, anchor contains no text, italic elements used and img
element is missing and the alt attribute is also missing. In the 6th slide, sample task has been
considered, buying a PS4 from the websites. It was discovered that both the products had
several technical faults and it was required to be returned. Amazon provides the facility of
returning the products within 7 days of purchasing but this facility was not available in eBay.
It could analysed that the eBay website needs to introduce the facility of returning the faulty
products and get a new one. In the 7th slide, several improvements are recommended for the
websites that includes Add a value proposition in the website that clarifies the mission of the

website. The website navigation of both the websites are required to be modified extensively.
As it was observed from the analysis of both the websites, there was no voice guidance for
browsing through the website, it is recommended to input voice guidance. It could be
observed that in the present times, people mainly browse the websites from mobile phones
and the website of eBay and Amazon is not significantly mobile friendly. It is recommended
to make modifications for making the websites mobile friendly. In the 8th slide, the
localisation and the globalisation factors are provided. Localisation factors could be described
as the territorial or geographical division of the labour. Globalisation factors refers to the
globalisation of the market from all over the for acting as a single market and it allows
conducting business significantly easy. Localisation factors for both the websites are
availability of products, adjacency to the markets and the availability of skilled labour for
doing the tasks efficiently. Globalisation factors could be listed as demand from all over the
world, alterations in the technological aspect and the differences in the tax system. From the
above analysis I would like to conclude that both the considered websites have grown to be
significantly popular all over the world. It still requires significant modifications in the basic
working for providing the customers with their desired products.
