Project Background
Globalisation has significantly led a role to raise a worldwide movement that has influenced
the world’s economy, communication, integration and financial trade. It has crucially
produced an opening of local and as well as nationalistic perspectives that has enhanced the
overall outlook of the interconnected and inter-reliant globe (Wright, 2016). The impact of
globalisation has also affected the well known multinational companies to work in a world
market where the companies have expanded their products and service sells in the determined
market. Globalisation has injected the concept that the transfer of goods and capital in a cross
border frontiers has been an easy way to hold the market. The promotion of international co-
operation, inter-dependency and cultural awareness has been influenced by the concept of
globalisation and has led industries to devise and customise different strategies in order to
ensure the business expanded in the growing market. The project management plan has
extensively identified the ethical, cultural and economic impacts (positive) led by
globalisation on different business functions that are the human resource, marketing,
accounting and business operations that stay within an organisation (Crane and Matten,
2016).
The selected topic for this project is to investigate the positive economic, cultural and ethical
impact of globalisation of migrants working in Amazon. Amazon is a well known
multinational technology company that has shown its focus on artificial intelligence, cloud
computing and commerce. It has been considered as one of the big four horseman that
belongs to Apple, Google and Facebook due to its expertise market capitalisation, brand
equity, disruptive innovation and hyper-competitive application process. It has been the
largest cloud computing platform and e-commerce marketplace that has been founded by Jeff
Bezos in 1994 (Amazon.co.uk., 2019). In the emerging market and globalisation has led the
company to be the largest internet company in terms of revenue in the world. It has localised
its specified storefronts in the different regions such as in Asia, Europe, North America,
South America and Oceania that is also differed in process and selection.

Project Aim
The project aims to investigate the different positive impacts of economic, ethical and
cultural impacts led by globalisation on different business functions (HR, Marketing,
Operations and Accounting) due to migrants in Amazon.
Project Objectives
Objectives in this project will significantly work as the performance analyser or indicator for
the project manager in order to monitor and control the areas required to be maintained
(Muller, 2017). The objectives will be the key aspects that the manager will identify to be
focused upon. The overall project will fulfil the desired deliverables in perceptive to the
determined objectives and ensure the project success. Following are the objectives –
 To contextualise diverse implications of the concept - globalisation in the company
workplace of Amazon in order to shape the future workforce for the migrants.
 To scrutinize various challenges and opportunities in relating to the concept –
globalisation that has represented the business structure and functions of Amazon.
 To classify the positive cultural, economic and ethical impacts of globalisation on the
business function of Amazon.
 To recommend relevant and specified approaches to the organisation – Amazon in
order to convene the competencies and other limitations present in the company with
an inventive approach.

Project Management Plan
The PMP (project management plan) is defined as an approved document, formally written in
order to be utilised by the project manager to manage the overall project execution (Kerzner
and Kerzner, 2017). The document determines the actions that are considered necessary in
the project that is to integrate, coordinate and prepare the different planning activities as
specified by the planning. The plan defines the way the project in monitoring, executing,
controlled and closed significantly. The plan covers all the required aspects that to identify
the costs and time as per the activities, scope statement of the project, quality management,

communication processes, risks assessment and resource plan. The plan has been determined

Project scope statement
A project scope statement is an effective approach or tool well utilised by the project
manager in order to describe all the key outcomes and deliverables present within the project
(Pheng, 2018). The statement play a crucial role to identify the definite constrains and
assumption reflecting the high-level of needs or requirements present in the project. The
scope statement defines every boundary that relates to the project. In clarifying the different
aspects showing the project deliverables and all determined scopes, the statement clears the
concept to the manager to proceed with the project and to share the information to the
stakeholders of Amazon.
Included scopes
Included scopes are determined as all the inclusions that are determined in the project
management plan. It shows the area that will enable the manager to concentrate upon and
acknowledging the project meeting its aims and objectives as per the desired outcomes.
 The statement is determined to maintain a rational approach that will assure the
project creating a formal document determining all the project proceedings and
understanding that institutes the overall concept of the project and is presented to the
stakeholders of Amazon. The main topic will be rationalised in investigating the
positive impacts of globalisation on different functions of the company.
 The project will include a small scale research study that is considered important to
identify and investigate the information from the managers and employees of Amazon
while surveying and interviewing the respective personnel in order to explicate the
approach and outcome for the organisation – Amazon.
 The project scopes have also shown a structured approach that is to monitor every
aspect relating to the project management plan in significantly ensuring the
timeframes of the project and to conclude a timely completion of the plan.
Excluded scopes
The exclusion or the excluded scopes in this project statement show certain aspects that
reflect the constraints. The project manager needs to focus on specified factors that are

included and therefore excluded certain aspects in the scope statement that are determined
below.
 In identifying the probable sample size or technique, the research will concern the
survey to the respective employees and interviews the manager of Amazon. The
constraints here have shown the excluded areas that to gain any data from the
customer point of view.
 The project data reliability and credibility is maintained and monitored specifically by
the project manager. Therefore, to ensure the research study meeting its objectives,
the research study will include the primary data collection method that also includes
both quantitative and qualitative research methods. In excluding the secondary data
collection method, the research will be based on prime sources or firsthand data.
Project Quality management
Project quality management is defined to be a knowledgeable area that has concerned all the
project initiations and ensured the quality of the project (Pheng, 2018). It has shown the goal
to assess, control, identify and achieve the project quality in utilising the specified activities
and processes. It is highly considered as the necessary area to plan, design and implement the
project in an effective or efficient way in respect to the project objectives and maintaining the
performance. Project quality has been considered as the pillar that ties the stakeholders with
all its requirements. The quality is maintained specifically by the managers to maintain the
project quality (Fuller et al., 2017).

Project Resource Plan
Project resources are the important elements that play a crucial role to take on the tasks
carefully and with professional aspects. The resource plan works as all supportive
fundamentals that enable the project with required materials, funds and effective team. The
resources also include the equipment and facilities that play an essential role for the project in
an effective manner (Lock, 2017).
