RESEARCH PROJECT
PRIMARY RESEARCH
The data of primary research is collected for the first time and the respondents of this research
include different stakeholders of the Amazon such as customers, employees, and also some
investors. Total respondents selected for this research are 50 and these were selected
randomly to avoid the situation of business (Norris et al., 2015). Total 7 questions are included
in the questionnaire and this questionnaire is sent to respondents through e-mail. The purpose
and importance of this research are clearly defined so that the information should be filled
accurately and researcher can come to correct results.

experts but in the form of literature review. According to Beck, (2018) Globalization is a term
used to describe the interdependence of the world economy for fulfilling the needs of goods,
services, idea, knowledge, technology and so on. The primary aim of globalization is to reach a
large customer base and expand its market share. The main advantage for MNCs is to reach the
untapped market, lowering the labor cost, cheap natural resources, and other resources which
are used in operations. The technological advancement helps the business to successfully
expand the business in recent years. In addition to this, Baylis et al., (2017) also say that MNCs
also has an option to outsource some operations and focus only on the key function and gain a
competitive advantage over its competitors. The company can increase its profitability by

through cheap labor and resources. The economies of scale can be seen with horizontal
expansion of the business i.e. entering into new markets. If the company adopts both these
strategies then it will help in the growth of the business which means larger revenue or strong
margin. There are several people, who cannot afford to buy locally produced goods due to high
prices of locally produced goods but with the globalization, they can now afford to purchase
quality goods at lower prices.
On the contrary, to the above statement, Greer and Hauptmeier, (2016) say that at the same
time, operating in the international market will bring lots of risk for the companies. According
to the opinion of some authors, operating in the global market will develop unfair exchanges
between smaller and larger economies. As per their opinion, they say that these MNCs capture
more market share and market value as they have the financial advantage which allows them
to lower the prices of the product and which increases competition among the companies of
developing countries. There are several challenges faced by the MNCs to start operations in
international countries and some of these are changing the internal structure of an
organization, maintaining a public image, modifying business operations according to statutory
or legal requirements as well as changing leadership style.
There are some challenges which are not in the control of the company and there are some
which are easily managed. The challenges of change in technology or infrastructure are not
managed by the company and change in organizational structure, leadership style, etc. can be
modified with the available resources. Both the benefits and challenges are deeply examined
before entering into the international market for expanding the business.
