Approach to operation management is the activities that are adopted by the organization’s

(Van Der Aalst
et al., 2016), there are mainly four types of approaches that an organization
can adopt in order to make proper functioning of their business activities, they are as follows:
Six- Sigma: Its is an approach that helps an organization to focus of six variants of a business
function. In Six-Sigma, the six stages are to minimizing the waste level of the business, to
map the business activities in a proper framework, to provide continual scope to the
organization to make innovation and to minimize the defects of the manufactured products.
Through this approach, an organization can understand the flaws in the business process and

utilize their resources in a systematic manner and even to increase their productivity.
Total Quality Management (TQM): Total quality management is activity process that helps
an organization to understand the needed quality of the manufactured goods and services by
the targeted customers (Dale, 2015). TQM helps an organization to guide the business

keep in mind while executing their activities. If an organization plans for its business
functioning, it should know the demand of the customers in order to satisfy them and
to grow the business
Communication- This is one of the most essential approaches, which an organization
can use in their business to make proper execution of the business activities. Through
this approaches an organization can flow the information to different levels in a
systematic manner, which aids the business in achieving their business aims and
objectives in a better manner.
Continual improvement- This part of TQM is an essential area, because it deals with
the additional demand of the customers. By practicing this process system, an
organization makes continuous development of their products, which help the
organization to provide the best quality of products to the customers. Continual
improvement helps an organization to product their products or services with

both internally and externally while performing their activities in the market..

the business aims and objectives. This helps the organization to achieve the desired
targets easily.
Lean production: In this approach, an organization produces only the quantity of the products
or services as per the demand of the customers. In this approach, organizations make
minimum production of goods and services (Jasti and Kodali, 2015). This allows the business
to make accurate study of the customer’s wants, which allows the business to make no extra
production. This allows the business to make proper management of their inventories and the
quality of the products or the services is improved with the adoption of lean management. In
lean management the quality of the products or the services get improved because the
production unit makes lesser utilization of resources and as the company makes lesser
production, the quality of the products get improved.

the customers and during their need. This helps the organization to make proper delivery of
