This project plan for Amazon, developed as part of a BUS/475 course, offers a detailed analysis of the company's operations. It begins with an assessment of potential risk factors such as online security threats, system reliability issues, and customer privacy concerns, along with corresponding contingency plans. The project then outlines key project objectives related to website functionality, revenue enhancement, and customer approval of products and services, assigning responsibilities and timelines for each objective. A SWOT analysis is included, summarizing the company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats from a global perspective, along with recommendations for matching strengths to opportunities and mitigating threats. The project also examines project metrics and provides an advanced organizer describing Amazon's mission, vision, values, and organizational structure.

Potential Risk Factors
Potential Risk Factors Risk description
Online Security As Amazon is an e-commerce website based on the online platform the
possibility of risk, threats and vulnerability of website increases with
the presence of hackers, viruses and sever damage causing aspects.
System Reliability It is based on the probability that the server of the website can crash
anytime due to system failure. The processes of payment system
through which the customers pay for their item can stop working
midway. Along with the plugins in the website may have bugs that can
disrupt the process of the website.
Privacy issues Amazon is a world-wide company it has a huge range of customers all
across the world. The customers have to make their profiles on the
website to purchase any item and for that purpose their personal
information are required (McInnis et al., 2016). The presence of the
personal information ranges from their address till their credit card
details. Hence the possibility of risk resides if the personal information
get leaked. The privacy of the customers is the most vulnerable aspect
for the company.
Credit or debit card fraud The presence of credit or debit card details on the website are required
for fast processing of payments while shopping online (Manchaiah et
al., 2019). Hence, the hackers take advantage of that and stole the
details and access them in unauthorized manner to make payments

against the will of the cardholder.
Customer disputes The products bought by the customers may not be up to their
expectation, or the payment was made twice and the order is not
placed. Also, the received product by the customer is not same as
described on the online website. The disruption occurs with an
unhappy customer.
Compromised SEO The possibility that the website traffic of Amazon shifts with the
change in algorithms of the website of other similar websites (Petrescu
et al., 2018). This will minimize the presence of Amazon on the
website and the traffic will be shifted. This can be done by hackers too.
This is a high risk of an online website that decreases the revenue of
the company.
Warehouse and Logistics
disruption
The functionality disruption in the storage of the products in the
warehouse or the logistics may fail to deliver the items on time.
Loose Taxation The loose taxation of the company will lead to lowering the revenue of
the company.
Broken website
authentication
