INTRODUCTION
Planning career refers to the current career status of the person. There are many resources
which helps the individual in improving its career planning. Career planning helps the person in
setting standards of his goal and take follow up of his goal regularly. Employability is the
attributes of the person that maintains and gain his employment. Students who perceive more
positive perceptions of labour market, they develop high self- perceptions of employability
((Beerepoot and Hendriks, 2013). Amazon is the American multinational company which was
founded in 1994 by Jeff Bozos. Company focuses on E- commerce, digital streaming and
artificial intelligence. There are about 12,25,300 employees are working in the company
currently. Amazon is considered as one of the biggest company in all over the world. This report
covers the personal development plan and commentary which clearly evaluates the current
developments in recruitment process of the company. There is also a SWOT analysis which
identifies the strength and weaknesses. The evaluation is done through the feedbacks from
telephone and interviews.
MAIN BODY
SWOT analysis
SWOT analysis is the another framework which is needed for the identification of the
strength and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the person. Below is discussed my SWOT
analysis which states my strength, weaknesses, opportunity and threats:
Strength: There are certain areas where I am very competent and enough to handle any
situation and perform my duties. These are:
Analytical skills: My biggest strength is that I have very good analytical skills. This helps
me in solving any time of situation or problems. By this I can able to manage various
operational work and task. These skills helps me in tackling various issues and situations.
And also by this I can able to apply in any company which ca be considered as the most
important skill of mine (Clarke, 2009).
Communication skills: Then this is another strength of mine. I have very good
communication skills. This helps me in communicating with any person more confidently
and without any hesitation. By using my communication skills I m able to manage my
work more efficiently and appropriately. Also, by this I can able to communicate with my

superiors effectively. I have very good English speaking ability and this will help me in
managing most of the subordinates who only know English in a very appropriate manner.
Weakness: I have some of the weakness which I needs to make improvements. These
weaknesses becomes an hurdles between me and my goals. These are discuss below:
Ethical practises: The first weakness of mine is the missing of ethical practises.
According to my opinion, I have noticed that it is most important to develop ethical
practises in person because this helps the individual in making appropriate decision
regarding any issue without biasses. I ned to develop this weakness of mine into my
strength (Cottrell, 2015).
Managerial abilities: I have managerial abilities with me. I can able to handle any
external situations and activities but sometimes I can able to fail in the managing my
work effectively and efficiently. For this I need to take training for developing my this
skills and capabilities.
Time management skills: This is my biggest weakness as I can't able to mange my time
according to any situation. I am failed to mange my work on time in the organisation. I
cannot mange multiple works at the same time. If there are lots of multiple task then I
can't able to prioritise my work and there I fails to achieve my goals.
Stress management: This is my weakness as when I sees lots of multiple work then I
came into stress. I cannot able to mange and make stress. This de-motivates me in
performing my activities and task in a effective manner. And I can't perform my work on
time.
Opportunity: Opportunities are those which can develops into the strength. There are
various opportunities that can help the making my strength. As I have strong
communication and analytical skills so this can make easy for me to convince other
people according to my opinion and also I can mange my work in very effective manner.
By making decision I can able to manage the work more effectively (Hennemann and
Liefner, 2010).
Threat: The biggest threat for me is to enhance my competencies. As there are many
other person similar to me who becomes superior than me and this hits me. This helps me
in motivating me and pushing me towards my goals ad my opportunities.

Recruitment and Selection Process of Amazon
Recruitment is a process of attracting, selecting, identifying, interviewing and hiring
employees. In this everything should be included from identifying to selecting persons according
to the need. All kind of recruitment depend on the type and size of a company ,firm or a
organisation. Large size of organisation can conduct more interviews rather than a small size of
organisation because in big companies the pressure of work is higher than a small company. The
selection process for every company is different in large company this process is secure and long
and in a small size company selection process is short than a small size of company ( Minten
and Forsyth, 2014). For Amazon company the selection and recruitment process is divide in to 3-
4 rounds like , application, Written Round, Telephonic Round, Face to Face interview, HR
Round and Reviews. If a candidate clear all these round of company, he or she will be go for a
training and then they start their work with the company.
This process begins with application and candidate should be apply for this online the
C.V or Resume of a candidate is not compulsory for applying candidates. The next round is
related with the interview procedure, in this written round and telephonic round can conduct. In
first phone call from company the HR called to candidates and ask general or basic questions on
the about candidates resume in this they check the candidates confidence level and
communication skill . In Written round Amazon take technical and logical skill test of
candidates and time duration for the test is 90 minutes. This test divided in two parts with 22
question the first part is Aptitude&Technical and second part is programming. After this,
company conduct face to face interview round for candidates in this interviewer asked some
questions frequently based on data structures, operating system and matrices. This round is little
bit harder than other rounds. After completing these rounds the H.R round begins,in this Hiring
manager asked some question regarding the work profile ,this for to check the intelligence of
candidates and to check the capability,efficiency and eligibility is according to requirement of
company or not. The H.R manger take some time to think about candidates profile if they find all
things good and according to the companies requirement,then they give their on it (Overtoom,
2000) .
Review is a final process for amazon recruitment, this is the internal process of company
which takes few days. Company's HR team work on candidates profile and every fact about
them. The team also think about the answers which candidates gave in HR round on the basis of

this Covid pandemic is Artificial intelligence. They use this method to hire, access and
screen the employee or worker. Manually screening resumes of every individual is stills a
very time consuming work at the time of recruitment by the mangers. Natural language
processing helps the managers in interacting with the potential candidates and offering
them personalised communication with the modern chat boxes technology.
Predictive analysis: They play a very big role in recruiting process and selection
process. Now a days various managers matches the job which is based on the various
parameters such as location, education, past experiences and relationship networks. This
system helps the managers in generating selective list of the candidates who are the best
fit for the company. Moreover, to make selection and recruitment process faster or
activate the talent, system is that the mangers could find them when current employees is
leaving the job position. Amazon company recruiters apply these methods to make talent
decisions and appropriate interventions.
Work culture: Culture is considered as the glue which bring all employees together. We

increase in digital technologies and mobile usage, most of the candidates search job on
the social media platforms like online portals such as Naukri, Twitter etc.
Diversity: This is the another method used by the Amazon company as it is considered as
the latest method of recruiting . Also, this method can be popular in the future period by
the company to hire an employees from across the borders. In this organisation put more
effort in tailoring job posting to attract more diverse candidates and reshaping the
languages in job descriptions. This helps the managers in more gender- neutral and thy
advertise job more in the diverse community.

elements that is sender, receiver, medium, , message and feedback. When these all
elements work together in a very effective manner then it is said that here is good
communication between the sender and receiver. Effective communication with the
employers can bring new ideas and thoughts and also attract the manager of the company.

candidate for the firm. This will helps the managers and making appropriate decision making
process and managing the resources in the organisation.

Gap analysis includes difference between present and future recruitment processes.
Within Amazon, the recruitment process has changes according to the need of new talent within
this company. There is need to manage the efficiency of employees so that goals are attained in

organisational level. It is considered that there is need to manage the gap in order to complete
the goals in proper manner. There is need to develop new efficiencies within the recruitment
process so that specified goals are obtained in less time. It is concluded that all business tasks
and activities of recruitment process of Amazon are developed in such a manner that goal
attainment is accomplished. There are various factors on which company manages it’s work.
This consists of flexibility, agility, creative competence, sustainability, etc. The competency of
recruitment process is measures by the performance of Amazon ( Zinser, 2003). It is considered
that Amazon’s recruitment process is managed in proper manner. There is requirement of proper
analysis and manageable considerations developed for controlling progress of the company. As
Amazon needs growth and peak in performance, main consideration is to recruit talented
employees and staff members.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that Amazon company is the biggest
company of E- commerce that sold variety of products to the customers. As company is using
effective process of recruitment and selection. But now it needs to be make its recruitment
process more effective to hire new talents for the company. In this report it has mentioned the
personal development plan of the individual and there are weaknesses which needs improvement
and threats which can be converted into strength. There is the gap analysis of the company is
given which identifies what company has made standards and what it has achieved. This also
identifies the issues which needs to controlled and managed by the mangers. Also there are
certain employable skills which helps the candidates in cresting employment opportunities and
also mangers to hire new talents.
