2COMPARISON OF E-BUSINESS WEBSITES
Introduction
The world of E-commerce has been changing and remodeling itself since the time of its
inception with the selling and buying of products and services to the customers through
electronic channels. The following report would be a comparison of such two E-businesses,
Amazon and Shop411, that primarily has been on the priorities of US customers and sell LCD
televisions online (Nilashi et al., 2016). This would include the comparison of the sites based on
the ease of learning and purchasing of the product to the customers and the type of software they
use for it.

(Yang, 2015). The following report would further include the comparison between the e-business
organizations of Shop411 and Amazon amongst these organizations that have been listed above.
Comparison of the sites about the ease of learning and purchasing of the
product
Although both Shop411 and Amazon both serve the similar purposes of selling their
products to the customers and providing services, there are some differences between the two E-
commerce websites when it comes to the ease of learning and purchasing of products. These two
factors mostly influence a user into buying or rejecting a product. Since LCD Television Sets are
electronic items, it must be hard for the customers to buy an item without taking a proper look at
it (Wang, Cao &Guo, 2016). Therefore, it is a challenge to these organizations into making their
products believable on the websites so that the customers would not be in disbelief while buying
them. The fundamental comparison with these two E-business websites can be described in
details as follows:
Amazon.com: Amazon.com uses extremely simple User Interface for the benefit of the
customers. Amazon uses the simpler website design but the UI is colorful and appealing to the
eye, thus attracting more users. Once the product is searched, it becomes extremely easy to
navigate amongst the various choices given. Even the benefits of becoming a Prime Member
with weekly or yearly subscription helps in selecting Prime Assured products that the
organization takes responsibility for (Amazon.com, 2018). This creates trust within the
customers and the products offered by the organization as they would know any problem in the
product would be handled by the company directly and not through any third person. Learning
about the product specifications is easy and the site also provides reviews of the previous

customers so that the potential customer can buy the same product again with ease of use.
Nevertheless, Amazon.com has been trying to move to a physical state from being E-business all
throughout.
Shop411.com:Shop411 was first established as a retail physical store in across USA.
However, in the recent times, it has shifted its base entirely to E-business websites fetching much
more customer base (Shop411.com, 2018). At first, the homepage seems uninteresting and
unappealing as it is completely empty and provided with just a search bar and it even disappoints
in the redirected pages where the appliances are somewhat a comparison of prices between
different online retail stores than being an independent shop altogether (Liu & Karahanna, 2017).
The understanding of the product is not clear as it redirects mostly to the parent website from
which the products have been viewed for the comparison of prices.
Therefore, in comparison, Amazon.com is a better platform for e-business in selling LCD
television sets from this aspect.
Type of software and infrastructure used for ease of use
Amazon.com: Amazon induces Amazon Web Services or AWS comprising of the
following software infrastructure Instance types behind the development of the website (Ritala,
Golnam & Wegmann, 2014).
Micro Instances (Free Tier) t1.micro (110) t2.micro (1357)
General Purpose. t2.nano (944) t2.small (1531)
Memory Optimized. m2.xlarge (143) m2.2xlarge (146)
Storage Optimized. h1.2xlarge (382) h1.4xlarge (390)

Compute Optimized. c1.medium (143) c1.xlarge (144)
GPU Instances. g2.2xlarge (1502) g2.8xlarge (1448)
Shop411.com: Shop411 mostly uses Drupal and Adobe Cs6 for its functions
(Smith&Linden, 2017).
This makes Amazon.com a much better e-business platform in comparison.
Conclusion
Thus the report concludes the idea that a comparison of such two E-businesses, Amazon
and Shop411, which primarily has been on the priorities of US customers and sell LCD
televisions online, prove the former to be a better e-business website. This was made clear by the
comparison of the sites based on the ease of learning and purchasing of the product to the
customers and the type of software they use for it.
