Amcor Ltd. is an international packaging company which produces flexible packaging’s,
containers, and provides the services to help in packaging of food, drinks, medical devices, and
other products. The mission statement of the company is generating sustainable shareholders
value and become the number one provider of packaging solutions, creating relationships and
values with customers, and encourages employees for achieving high standards of performance.
Amcor is the leading packaging company and they had taken the pledged for developing the
recyclable and reusable packaging till 2025 Amcor, 2018).
The vision statement of the company is creating an environment for people which help in
developing innovative ideas which help them to produce quality living environment for people.
Amcor includes the values of safety, integrity, collaboration, accountability and results, and
outperformance. Sustainability and growth are the main motives of the company as they consider
that it is crucial for competitive advantages and meeting the needs of the customers in current
and future (Hunting and Tilbury, 2006). Amcor implements the effective strategies and work in
teams and maintains effective relationships with customers, suppliers, groups, investors and
other organizations for identifying, assessing, prioritizing and managing sustainability and its
related opportunities with the help of framework of risk management.
The major three areas that are focused on protecting the world are products, operations, and
capabilities. Products include the advancement of sustainability in packagings. In operations,
they ensure to protect the environment and reduce the impact on the world. Capabilities include
that they lead and contribute to collaborate with the internal and external for meeting and dealing
with the environmental challenges. In Amcor, the sustainability leadership council takes the
initiative in three major areas and they collaborate with the operation, R&D, marketing and
procurement departments. The experts in the company identify sustainable opportunities and set
ambitious goals (Initiative, 2017). The mission and vision of the company are related to
sustainability.

key stakeholder is the Environment and governance continuously takes the initiative for
improving and reporting the operation's environmental performance. It includes the code of
conduct policies, ethics policy and sustainability policy (Ioannou and Serafeim, 2017. The
governance believes in producing products and services of high quality and manage the
operations with maximizing value with co-workers, customers, stakeholders, and communities.
In order to address sustainability, they include the environmental laws and global EHS standards,
which include effective resources, minimizing wastages, and avoiding emissions and discharging
the operations. Governance shares the responsibilities for ensuring protection to the environment.
For sustainability and environmental excellence, leadership commitment and co-worker engages
in an integral part. For the sustainable future, Amcor plays a crucial role in the environment.
They believe in responsible packaging by sharing the interest stakeholders with the environment,
community, workplace, marketplace, and economy. For the environment, it includes maintaining
and implementing the environmental management system and improve the performance of the
environment. For the environment, it includes the regularly setting the targets. Governance of
Amcor takes the initiative to work with customers and suppliers in order to reduce the
environmental impact with the help of value chain and life cycle of the effective products

is taking the initiative of developing the packaging to reuse and recycle by focusing on the

process, and adoption of best business practices. With the help of more sustainable inputs of
material, the effective life cycle approach will help in protecting the products as well as
minimizes the footprints of environment. Introduction of EnviroAction program in Amcor helped
in reducing emissions and addressed the various issues related to waste and water(Morrish, et al.,
2011). For meeting the customer's expectation, the more sustainable packaging is required and it
can be achieved by addressing the crucial issues which are related to the growth and
environmental responsibilities. The GRI guidelines must be followed by sustainability reporting
which includes the operations of the business, various strategies that are implemented for
developing the business activities and performing and presenting for self-evaluation of the
company. for social and environmental performance, companymust take the initiative to inspire
people for working and living with more sustainability. The leadership position is essential for
Amcor to maintain in the market and addressing the issue of plastic issues. An increase in
communication effort helps in developing sustainability with the adopting of green technology
and practices for recycling the materials and providing opportunities to community and groups
and for promoting sustainability knowledge must be provided to workers and employees.
