AI Summary
This report analyzes the project management strategies employed by aMedia, a major Russian television and film production company, in developing a multimedia content management system. The assignment involves creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and a Gantt chart to outline project tasks, dependencies, and milestones, with a focus on how these tools can aid project management, prevent failures, and increase profitability, referencing PMBOK knowledge areas. A network diagram is developed, and the critical path is identified with calculations. The report also explores the significance of the Critical Path Method (CPM) in project risk management, considering the aMedia case study. The analysis includes the project's initiation, planning, execution, and closure phases, emphasizing the importance of realistic estimations and the implementation of suitable tools to meet project goals within budget and timeline constraints. The student demonstrates an understanding of project management principles by analyzing the steps of the critical path and the measures to be taken to ensure project success.

Introduction
The aMedia is one of the popular producers of television series. It was found in 2002.
They won various awards of Russian Broadcasting Academy.
However, the company has been facing manual data entry processes that are time-
consuming. The documents are to be accessed that has been limited and slow. Further, the
scriptwriters have been facing barriers in collaborating. They have been urgently needing the
multimedia system of content management. In the following study, the case of project
management of aMedia is analysed.
Work Breakdown Structure

As per the PMBOK knowledge areas, the WBS is created by delivering the visual
representation of every part of the project of aMedia. It is determined through analysing the

constant view for team members and management. This is about the compete for the
progress of the project. Further, measurable and specific results are defined (Archibald &
Archibald, 2016). Then the tasks are broken into various manageable chunks. Next, they
have been providing the method to make repeatable and successful experiences. Further,
they have been setting the foundation to estimate the expenses and allocate resources and
human beings.
Gantt Chart
It is done by adding the starting dates and durations. Next, the descriptions are added
to the Gantt Chart.

Significance of WBS and Gantt Chart
The WBS is meant to decrease the complex tasks. It is helpful for the project managers in
overseeing the activities more efficiently than complicated ones. Apart from this, the Gantt
Chart is helpful to schedule and plan the projects. It is useful to analyse the duration of the
project, find out the needed resources and planning to finish the tasks (Kaiser, El Arbi &
Ahlemann, 2015).

The critical paths can be determined through specifying all the activities. They also involve
the establishment of the activity sequences and dependencies. Further, the network diagram is
drawn and the completion time is estimated (Bi et al., 2017). After that, the critical path is
identified and it is updated through the critical path diagram process.
The significance of CPM in Project Risk Management:
For understanding the project case of aMedia, the schedule is structured well. They have
been providing the related detail levels and comprising of the logic that is free-flowing.
Here, the dates of completion have been driven through realistic estimations and never
through political and management considerations (Lock, 2017). Here, the scheduled timeline
for the project has been reflecting the durations of activities and various sequences. They
have possessed the emphasis on the completion time of the critical path. Thus through
evaluating the schedule of CPM, the model for the aMedia can be developed for the actual
risks exposures. This can be done by developing the plan of acceleration. This is helpful to
move the activities of the projects nearer towards the achievement of the goals (Joslin &
Müller, 2015).
Conclusion
The aMedia is one of the biggest film studio situated in Russia. The series has been regularly
attracting about 6 million viewers. Their programming is found to be sold to over 25 nations.
The project management is vital for aMedia for governing their present project. The study

analyses various elements that are needed to be known by the team leaders. The processes of
risk management, project lifecycles and the strategies are useful for the project to become
successful. Apart from this, implementing a suitable tool for the estimation of the duration is
helpful to reach the project goal. Besides, the project of the team requires to consider the time
the project has been seeming to gain the aim. Thus they can know when to stop prior they can
go beyond the estimated budget.
