2AMERICAN GOVERNMENT
Question 1
Ans: The United States of America is indeed under obligation for the protection of the
citizens of the country of America itself. These obligations of the country include protecting
the citizens from various internal as well as external threats which might harm the people of
the country. These protections are affected on the people of the country through the various
rights and duties which the citizens of the country have to follow themselves (Parloff, 2013).
These rights, duties as well as the obeying of the rules and regulations in the country helps
the citizens to get protected by the American Government itself.
Question -2
Ans: The Right to Freedom of Expression is one of the steps taken by the American
Government to ensure that the people of the country have the freedom to express themselves.
However, these rights also come with certain rules and regulations, when the people might be
restricted from using such rights for their safety purposes. This restriction will only be
imposed in cases of terroristic or other threats to the country itself.
I remember it was during the time of the 9/11 attacks which had happened in the
country (I was a first-year student back then), the people who are not really Americans were
restricted their freedom of expression by the Government of the country. This was mainly
done to protect the people of the country themselves. This is why I can say if the Government
provides these rights, they can also restrict such rights from the people of the country
themselves.

3AMERICAN GOVERNMENT
Question – 3
Ans: The example of The Right to Freedom of Expression can be used to explain the
position of the parties in the Government in the current times (Hershey, 2017). These parties
include the Democrats, the Republics and the Green parties. In case of a situation like the
threat to the country itself, it can be said that the Republics would focus on the restrictions of
the rights while the democrats would focus on continuation of the rights. The Green party
would support the Democrats in this matter because they would be restricted from exercising
their opinions about the protection of the environment itself for the people of the country
themselves.
