The approach towards Britain and France was one of the factors, differentiating the
federalists and democratic republicans. The federalists were of the view that the American
foreign policies supported the Britishers. On the contrary, the democratic republics
constructed plans for enhancing the ties with French. According to Alexander Hamilton,
federalist outlook defined the presidential powers, which resulted in impeachment. According
to Thomas Jefferson, republican constitution is to be guided by the foreign policy (Loc.gov
2020). Upon observation, this outlook was redundant. Delving deep into the matter, Jefferson
was diplomatic in terms of the controversies, which were a part of the nineteenth century
history.

From the cartoon, A Peep into the Antifederal Club, it can be inferred that revolutions
were a part and parcel of the federalists. These revolutions were reflected in the form of
songs, satirical narrations and inflicting injustice on the blacks. This cartoon portrays the life
of anti-federalists, where one of the major elements is that of the political rabbles. Thomas
Jefferson stands in the middle of the anti-Federalists for mapping the outlook of the society
(Lunaimaging.com 2020). On the contrary, The Prairie Dog cartoon is a satirical
representation by Jefferson for the conquest of West Florida from Spain in the era of 1804.
Here, Jefferson has been portrayed as a dog, which is strung by a bee with the head of
Napoleon. The dog can be considered as a symbol of slave, who is coughing two million gold
coins, which Jefferson secretly acquired from Congress after purchasing West Florida. There
is also a French diplomat in the scene, who is a puppet in the hands of the minister.

foreign government. The main purpose of this act was to prohibit any kind of intrusion into
the States. Any person found to be indulging in such acts was to be banished from the
country. This was the collaborated decision of Senate and the House of Representatives of
United States of America and Congress (Yale.edu 2020). On the contrary, the Sedition Act
aimed to confiscate the position of a person upon conspiring against the law and authority.
According to the Sedition Act, the person with such intention would be held guilty and
produced before the court trials. Virginia Resolution aimed to support the government in
prohibiting foreign intrusion (Yale.edu 2020). This resolution assured the government that all
kinds of support would be provided to the government. On the other hand, the Kentucky
Resolution caters to the aims of the Federal Union towards ensuring the liberty of the several
states.

The Presidential elections of 1800 reflected the revolts by Federalists and the
Republicans. Uncertainty is reflected from the failure of the campaigns and partisans, which

inaugural speech of Jefferson, he portrayed himself as a part of the fellow citizens. However,
the irony is that during the presidential elections, he failed to ensure the wellbeing of his
citizens, which led to revolts and manipulation for the Electoral College (Loc.gov 2020). In
his speech, he traverses the transcendent objects to envision the happiness of the beloved
citizens. Persuasion for the principles of Federalist and republic is the symbol for clinging to

were reservation system, which implies that the natives had to act within the prescribed
reservations.
In June 25, 1876, Custer and his troops were killed, which gave rise to the tensions
between the native and the white Americans. From October 1879, the plans for assimilating
of the Native American students were the initiatives to resolve the tensions. Signing of the
Dawes Act in February 1887 reflected allotment of the land to the native Americans.

Missouri Compromise and Haiti Revolution reflected the tensions related to the slave
trade. This was also a disrupted relation in the stability in the alliance between the US and
Great Britain. Violations of the maritime standards and protocols resulted in this war and
political instabilities. Treaty of Ghent reflected the end of these tensions. The War of 1812
represented the tensions and conflicts in the US and UK. One of the major causes of the war
was cutting off the supplies from the France (Harris 2016). In 1807, an order was passed for
gaining permission before trading with France or the colonies. The Royal Army practiced
impressments, which was on the instructions of the British.
The embargo Act of 1890 restricted trade for the Americans. The replacement for this
was the Non-intercourse Act, which ceased the trade between Britain and France. The power
and authority also dropped, which implied resuming with the opposition power. The war
resulted in a turning point for the natives in terms of governing. The immediate impact was
the introduction of the era of good feelings. The war also reflected the end of the Federalist
Party, who was unpatriotic and brought the era of Anglophobia during the wars (White 2019).
Along with this, the war also boosted self confidence of the natives towards maintaining the
spirits towards making the country a better place to live and prosper. This approach seemed
to be effective for progressing towards the democratic and liberalist government.

The primary source used for this assessment is The American Promise, which
upholds the life journey of the Americans. The major events covered in the assessment are
the formulation of Federalists and Republican parties, which led to the amendments of the
constitution. The propositions to the amendments were drafted, which resulted in the creation
of Bill of Rights. Agreements were conducted through the means of pro-and anti-slavery
actions, which are evident from the Missouri petition to join as a slave state. The striking

issue was that the tribes were promised to be transformed into civilized Christians.
Resentments were shown by the Native Americans towards the colonization (Brockett 2019).
This refusal resulted in conformation to the European, which compelled the colonist to vent
out the anger against the colonist. The immediate outcome of this was the hostility among the
native and the white Americans.
