This video talks to the audiences about the incident of The American Melting Pot and
what actually happened in the incident. The video is an accurate representation of the various
French settlements and how the people of these settlements founded Natchez so that they can
trade with French Illinois.
The video also tells the audience about the founding of St. Louis by Pierre Laclede in
the year 1763 as the outpost of trading for the French communities.
What the video conveys to the audiences is the ethnic diversity of America. It gives
the audiences an idea about the people of different ethnicities who live in the country and
how they have founded the different cities of the country (Zangwill, 2017).
In addition to this, the video also talks about the imperial reorganization which the
New Bourbon Dynasty had reformed keeping in mind the French rules. The other important
point of discussion in the video is the history of the Galvez family especially Borneo De
Galvez y Madrid, who became the Governor of Louisiana.
The video takes the audiences to the time of the settlement of Alaska, when the
Russian claims to the region were granted by the queen. In addition, the video also tells the
audiences about the frontiersman and other gunmen of the times (Parrilo,2015). Apart from
this, the people from other ethnic backgrounds and the places inhabited by them are also
discussed in the video. Thus, this video discusses the ethnic diversity of America in detail.

2-rebels-and-redcoats-episode-1?module_item_id=1556497
In this video, the speaker of the video has given accurate description of the battle
between the Americans and the British and how that led to the American Independence. The
speaker presents an account from the British perspective of the incident. The video describes
how the American Revolution started between the American farmers looking for
independence and the Redcoats of King George (McNab,2017). The speaker in the video
states how the Revolution had turned inti a Civil War, and had destroyed families by turning
people against one another.
The speaker in the video goes on to explain how Boston became the main origin point
for the revolution. The main reason for this is the resentment which the Americans felt as
they were restricted by the British Redcoats. The audience gets to know about how Boston
was once rich and thriving, until the time when the people felt the resentment of not being
independent. The video discusses the life of Sam Adams and his companions who finally got
the opportunity to protest the British. The attack on the British relief party, was the starting
point of the war (Israel, 2017).
The tyranny of the British Redcoats in the country had what turned the Bostonian
Radicals against them. Adam’s protest of the taxation of exporting tea was the prelude to the
famous Boston Tea Party. When the British retaliated, the main struggle against the Redcoats
began with the first shot fired during the war. Thus, it can be said that the video “Rebels and
Redcoats” Episode 1 discusses various circumstances, as well as the role played by Sam
Adams and his companions, which ultimately led to the American Revolution.
